My kiddo’s favorite book
This is my toddlers favorite book ❤️ he loves pointing to his nose, eyes, mouth and skin as we read the book and he also loves finding Elmo. I love the message of this book celebrating diversity while recognizing how we are similar in so many ways. The last page always makes me tear up with the line on how rainbows would be boring if they were only green or blue and that what makes a rainbow beautiful is that it has every hue “so aren’t you glad that you look like you?”. I feel like more people in the world should have read this book growing up. Illustrations are so so well done throughout and the messaging again is so thoughtful. It’s a book I really don’t mind (actually love) reading to my son 6+ times a day at his request (again, again, again!).

Wholesome Children’s Book
I love this book. It shows all the differences (various nose shapes for example) then explains how even though we have different features they function the same.

Loved so much we bought as a gift for others. Could use some small improvements!
LOVE the book. So fun, and such a subtle and effective way of celebrating diversity. Only comment is: I feel like some of the facial features are a bit stereotypical. As an ethnically Chinese person it definitely stood out to me that all the yellow-skinned human characters had slanted eyes. While it is somewhat/sometimes accurate, not all of us look like that. I would've appreciated more diversity among the human characters' facial features. Nevertheless, it is such a fun book with delightful illustrations and our daughter loves pointing out the balls, flowers, and dogs in the book!
