Brilliant. Much better for housing crickets than the 'keeper', with the poles in it, which I have two of. The poles make cleaning the tank so tricky. This one is great. It's huge and my crickets live and thrive much better in this one. It's really easy to clean and the lid magnifies what is inside, so it's easy to see what's in the tank. My only gripe is the opening hatch. It has a unique slide and click mechanism to lock it which is much better than the usual clip down lids, BUT when you slide the lid back to open it, there is nothing to grab to lift it with. Just an indent to put a finger in and it is lifted by applying pressure back and up (if that makes sense). My finger always slips off so I have to use feeding tongs to slip into the gap between the hatch and the fitted lid so I can lift the hatch. Also, once the lid is lifted, it always without fail falls off. All it needs is a bit of plastic at the front to act as a barrier to it falling out the slots the 'hinge' sits in. Why this is missing I have no idea. You could just stick a cocktail stick or a pipe cleaner across this hinge bit to stop the hatch from falling off and that's what I'll do. It's not a big deal, but just seems silly that the hatch comes completely off the lid. It's annoying when you're trying to clean the inside or collect feeder crickets as you have to hold the hatch at the same time. Apart from that it's better than other makes and the smaller versions have a separate little hatch, presumably for feeding an animal if you keep it in one of these. Personally I only use these for feeder insects and I would never house a pet in a plastic carrier like this i.e. a reptile or Tarantula as they're completely unsuitable for that.

Feels sturdy, nice clear plastic, and the lid is easy to fit on and remove but is still nice and secure.

This terrarium is great for my two baby African Land Snails. I really love the design, especially the secure "peephole" on top. The plastic is really clear, and I can see my little snails at all times, which is great. The only reason why I haven't given this 5 stars is because I'm not sure about the quality of the plastic. It looks thick and sturdy enough, yes, but it seems to me like it's the kind that may crack easily. The first time I ordered the terrarium, it had a crack running through one of its corners, despite the fact it had been packaged quite tightly. I returned it, and got a replacement. This time around, the Amazon staff did an even better job of packing it (it really was impeccably secured), but the terrarium still had some scratches here and there. Now, I don't know if this is due to warehouse storing and/or handling, but it does suggest to me that the plastic used for the terrarium may not be the best.Still, I'm happy with it so far and, as I said, the design is lovely, and the size is just right for my current needs. It also seems to keep enough heat and humidity in, while also being properly ventilated, which is just what I was hoping for for my snails.

Bought this for my giant african land snail and it's perfect.

It was very suitable for its use however the lack of some bubble wrap or something similar would have prevented damage.Item returned due to a hole in one corner where it may have been dropped or crushed.Was delivered in a plastic bag.

I needed a transition tank for my G.A.L.S so I bought this as a temporary home until they were bigger. The first one I ordered was cracked across the front so I returned it and a new one was posted out the following day. The only issues I have is that the clear plastic lid is a pain to open unless your hands are bone dry.

I'm really happy with this product. It's a great size for 2 small snails (would not be suitable for full grown giant snails!) and a colony of woodlice. It's tall enough to have a deep layer of substrate with plenty of space above.It's easy to clean and feels sturdy. The lid doesn't close super tightly but still secure enough, but I wouldn't carry it by the lid (don't know if the version with handles has a different lid mechanism, I got the one without handles and it is easy to carry from the bottom)Overall very happy with this purchase!

I bought this to house my feeder locusts.However they are escaping. The lid still leaves gaps and they are squeezing through. I have had at least 5 escapees. Be aware.

Ich habe früher in dieser Box Heimchen für Reptilien gehalten, sie ist sehr leicht zu reinigen und definitiv stabiler als so manch andere ähnliche Boxen. Später habe ich sie für meine Ratten als Transportbox für Tierarztgänge verwendet. Wenn man Nagetiere für eine längere Zeit in so einer Box transportieren will, sollte man bedenken, dass sie den Kunststoff anknabbern könnten, was oft bei Wüstenrennmäusen, Hamstern oder Degus der Fall ist. Da würde ich dann eher ein anderes Material empfehlen, aber meine Ratten sind da nie rangegangen und waren auch nie lange darin, deshalb reicht sie für mich völlig aus.
