Dunham Men's Exeter Snow Boot

Feel amazing out of the box -- no break in necessary. Fits perfectly! Looks good in business attire and jeans as well, but great for snow/rainy days.

One year ago, I got the low top version of these. I got them mostly for work, but also liked that they were rugged and comfortable enough, and waterproof, for light hiking. They were. The day after I received them, I hiked 5 miles on pretty rugged terrain which included small creeks, light mud, and some scrambling over boulders. They were fabulous. Just the right amount of sole thickness where they were protective enough yet still flexible. I wore them almost every day for a year, and they were so good I also wanted the boots. After a year of rugged use, including a lot of hiking, but wearing them almost every day to work, they still looked great.On Prime day, the boots went on sale so I got them. They fit the same as the low cut version, which is to say excellent. However, the boots seems to have less of an arch, despite looking like they did have one, but with light foamy insoles. So I got a pair of orthotic insoles with a good arch. So now they are really excellent. They are a bit warm, but I always wear them with merino socks.

Got those and they are a good fit for size. But they are not that comfortable to wear. Waterproof though. That is where they shine. I recommend buying a size wider and put a comfortable sole in them. Which is what I didn't know.

Fortunately, I read the other reviews before making purchase. They tend to run a bit narrower than in width, so I ordered one size wider for a perfect fit (12 4E up to 12 6E). Length is true to size. Do not assume being labeled "waterproof" is all you need. I am a country boy and know better! Immediately put mink oil on leather, stitching and joins. Use silicone spray on suede. Let sit in warm place overnight. Wipe and buff for waterproofing surety and looks. Let dry. Great boot that breaks in very quickly. I did purchase new inserts, since the ones that come in the boots are pretty flimsy. Great purchase, even if a bit pricey at $200.

I work as a bread delivery man so I am always in and out of stores and my truck, dealing with snow, rain, and slush. I really like the fit of New Balance shoes so I decided to stick to them and picked up a pair of these.I usually wear a 9.5 4E but I ordered a 10 4E because I wear an extra pair of socks in the winter. This boots fit true to New Balance size and you can order the same size you would wear in shoes.I've worn this for a bit over a month now and the boots are very comfy and supportive, I work the boots hard and they have held up very well.My only complaint (and this could be me being a leather boot novice) is that they are not waterproof for long like they say they are. Order some leather treatment and you'll have a great pair of boots. When these ones are past their useful life I will buy another pair for sure.UPDATE! : The winter is now over and I have used these boots 5 days a week for work and would also wear them plowing snow and doing other winter tasks. I cleaned the boot and applied some waterproofing, that really helped the problem I stated in my review.The boots show use but are still in great shape and I don't see myself having to replace these for next winter. They are light enough that I plan on using them when I cut wood and do other chores this summer. My review stands I will buy another pair when I finally wear these out.

I wear a 16 5E in these boots and they are very well made. My only complaint is I wish there was deeper tread on the sole so it would last longer before they get worn slick. only about a year before they get worn slick for me but that is every day use. they are true waterproof which is amazing. I have had "waterproof" boots before that leak when walking in wet grass. these dont.Lately I havent been able to find any of the Dunham boots in my size im not sure why. hope to find them again I need a couple more pairs of them

I normally take a 10 - 10.5 4E. I realize some styles within brands sometimes run different than normal. These did. 10.5 4E were narrow and tight. Uncomfortably so. I returned them for a 10.5 6E and they fit just fine... They're keepers....

These boots where extremely comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 15 EEEE shoe which is very hard to find. They’re great for business casual or trails. I wear them often and love ‘em. I’ve only had them a few months but wear them like tennis shoes and their quality is as good as their comfort... I’ll have them a long time.

j'aime bien cette marque incl. les souliers exeter oxford low.. . large confortable (4e) Pour les bottes 9.5 EW que je viens de recevoir çà semble parfait mais...je suis anxieux car celles-ci viennent maintenant de...CHINE et certains usagers se sont plaints qu'elles prennent l'eau même avec le GoreTex ??? et swqeeek en marchant ??? je vais les essayer dès que possible. À $218 cdn pas de taxes c'est un bon deal comparé au marchant près de chez moi ...si elles ne prennent pas l'eau :-) mise jour nov 04 2020 ... porté quelques fois... les bottes sont un peu raides et blessent la cheville... un peu déçu mais j'attends encore pour mon commentaire final....j'imagine qu'elles vont s'assouplir j'espère du moins !mars 2021 prix 168$ 50$ de moins.....!!!! le pire c'est qu'on me l'offre après avoir payé 218 $ :-( :-(
