Excellent monopod

Used it during Farnborough Airshow 2018, folds into very compact length - 41.5cm - fits inside a normal backpack, it's very light at around 550g, and yet very sturdy. I mounted a Manfrotto ball head onto it and setup EASILY coped with a Nikon D750 + Sigma 150-600mm lens + Sigma 1.4x TC. Comes with both rubberized and metal bottom spikes. Reversible mounting screw - 1/4" at one end, 3/8" at the other and can be switched round by hand, no tools needed. The twist locks are smooth with a reassuring locking click. Allen wrench also provided, presumably to tighten head locking screw.Excellent value for the money paid.

Professional standard monopod

Well made sturdy and compact monopod. Can be easily and quickly extended to the height required and is strong enough for the heaviest of camera and lens combinations. I use mine with Manfrotto Monopod Tilt Head with Quick Release which has proved a good combination. The monopod is light enough and small enough to be carried on a camera bag all day.

Strong & lightweight

An excellent monopod which is both lightweight and sturdy. A necessity if using a 500 mm lens if for nothing else but saving the strain on your arms! The screwthread will screw directly into the camera but a separately purchased head is advised for quick attachment of lenses/camera. Some might prefer quick release clips but while the 'turn to tighten' fixtures can slow down assembly they do reduce the risk of accidental release. The pole is of a reasonable height but could be taller in order to give the extra height needed if using alongside steps - press photographers will know exactly what I mean.

Brilliant MonoPod my ‘Go To’ item highly recommended.

Found this to be a brilliant Monopod. It’s both very well made and sturdy and easy to use. This is now my ‘Go To’ item every time do any photography and unlike tripod I take it as so much easier. It’s great for any photography we’re you don’t need Very long exposure (I have used up to 1” and was fine). This monopod has made all my pictures much more focused as using an 18-150.I use this on a Canon EOS M50 with an ARCA Mount and it’s perfectly. One thing would recommend as use with a wrist strap on camera rather than a neck strap (at least this worked for me with M50 unsure about bigger Mirrored DSLR’s)

Stable monopole, lightweight.

Does the business.... quality item... one thing that is a pain is the thread on the screw in base foot is M8x1.25P.. would have been ideal if it was imperial, so I could use adapters to extend the flexibility of the mounting, ie, add a small tripod on the base to aid stability.. but I’m unable to source a M8 thread to 1/8” thread male converter... change the base thread and it would be perfect...

Nice, but shame about the odd size spike thread

This is a nice monopod, good size and sturdy.. The one bad thing is the size of the rubber\spike foot thread, it's 5\16"... It's almost impossible to get replacements in that size. !! For that reason it gets an overall 3*'sIt would be useful if Manfrotto could supply a replacement lower section with a standard size thread..

Solid kit

Overall a very good product. I wasn't sure from the product description if the locking mechanism would be easy to use. But it is, and actually better than the clamp levers on my Manfrotto tripod. Separate spike foot looks useful, but will need something to cover it when walking around.I bought it for the small minimum size (and light weight). Fine on both counts. 150cm height fullly extended was a slight concern, but fine in practice (I'm 6ft).

Lifetime investment

Wow....what can I say solid, walking stick, monopod, light, heavily weight bearing.i have a canon 6d,with a sigma 150-600mm screwed on my monopod.this is my first monopod,in comparison to tripods,.I initially hated it,because when I was using it ,I could not keep it still,so I kept the stabilization mode on....second time around getting to Richmond park,a ARMY😎,of photographers where seen ,majority of them with monopods(not saying their all manfrottos), carrying the body's over there shoulders ready to shot ,and move, not having to worry, other concerned about balancing/leveling/checking the right height levels..... everything is set up already. The only thing I can say bad about manfrottos is their customer service ,being none existent, thus loosing one star....Warning ,when you make a purchase the bottom come with a rubber leg support....don't be like me ,and leave it in on the job outside, you'll loose it...screw in tightly the spike.unfortunatly for me I can't seem to replace it easily.Last thing .I had my tripod also, and it's best for your macro photography,or staying in one place taking herds, and panning for shots
