Cool Moon over Hawaii
I bought this as a show piece to hang on my wall. I was surprised by the quality. It is really well built. Not cheap at all. It was set up fine out of the box. As with any Uke, you have to wait for the strings to stretch to stay in tune. Tuners are fine. That means you have to play it awhile before complaining. I usually change the strings right away but these are crisp and easy on fingers. I wouldn’t buy this as my first Uke because you you don’t hold the same as a traditional Uke. Learn how to play first, then buy this one. Also took me three seconds to peal the “made in China” sticker off the back. Would Rather see made in USA but that’s why the price is low.Update: I just changed the strings out because the cheaper Aquila strings were thin and never got smooth when picking. D'addario strings worked great. The sound got deeper better finger control.

Awesome!
This is just what I hoped it would be. I'm a beginner - don't know that I'll ever learn, but I sure have been having fun! Not only that - It looks great! Strictly for my own entertainment so I can't speak to how it will work if you're on stage or out busking, but you'll look good! It just makes me happy to have it. I wander around playing the 2 chords that I've learned and it makes me smile....(I'm getting old, this was an investment in my retirement entertainment)

This ukulele sounds really good and is one of the easier ones to play.
My wife loves her EF-Moon. She has 8, (an EF-Peanut is on the way!), and got this one because we are both Cancers and she says that makes us "moon children",(been a Cancer all my life and this was news to me...). In any case, this is by far her favorite along with one other concert uke. Its cool to look at, and even better to listen to. She is obsessed, but shes having fun so its all good!

Will not stay tuned
Very cute as a decoration but not good as an instrument. Satisfied with costumer service when I expressed my disappointment and refund was issued.

Was unique loved the look
I liked the sound . And the look of it . Did not like how the wood felt . Or the pegs for tuning were of poor quality

1st one is a fail. Try again...
Better luck on the 2nd one, but still not 5 stars.Go to the bottom of this review for an update on the 2nd ukulele.I was really looking forward to getting one of these, but unfortunately, the one I received had glue overrun by the neck joint and the frets have very sharp edges.Although the fret edges are easy enough to fix, the glue smear or weird discoloration by the moon is not. There were also some little boogers on the front that could be picked off easily. They were obviously glue droplets. The discoloration by the moon is not natural looking. it has a distinctive cutoff line by it.Also, a few stars were unevenly cut with a bump on the side of one of the points. It's like the laser cutter had a hiccup. This one definitely looks like a factory reject or second.I'm sending it back in ordering another.I will update upon receiving the next one.One thing I will note, is that it did come with a gig bag which is not specified other than buy one other reviewer.Others complain of no gig bag.If not for the flaws, I may have given this a five-star rating. However if I receive another one and it's in the same type of condition I'm going to lower my rating to one star and not buy another.Update:Okay, still not completely satisfied. The quality control on these seems to be very lackluster. But again, this is how it's been across the entire ukulele industry, post COVID.This one had some glue spatters that I was able to remove but no glue overrun where the fretboard meets the body as the 1st one did.The frets are better on this one, but still need filing. There were blemishes present that I was able to blend with a furniture touch-up pen.The fretboard is a bit unresponsive when it comes to using hammer-on techniques.I think treating it with my tung oil blend may bring some improvement as the tung oil crystallizes within the wood and hardens it further.I have decided to keep this one, obviously because of the improvements I've made, but it was a borderline decision.I did nothing to the first one other than pick off glue spatter. With the large blemish by the moon,I decided it was just too far gone to bother with.I find myself doing a lot of touch up on new ukuleles from many manufacturers lately, especially in the sub $200 category.I buy and sell them and I won't sell them unless they're perfect. If I decide that I can't touch up one satisfactorily, it goes back! The lack of quality control is actually why I got into it selling them. These touch-ups are something I'm very capable of doing and I do enjoy providing nice ukuleles for my clientele. How does it sound and play?It naturally has a rich, mellow deeper tone then your typical concert size ukulele. One made with veneers of course. It doesn't stack up to a ukulele with solid wood panels, regardless of its shape. The neck is shaped nicely.Overall, it's very comfortable to play.Would I take a chance and buy another one of these?Due to my experience tweaking ukuleles, I would say yes.If you have no experience doing this I would suggest looking elsewhere, but again, quality has fallen off throughout the entire industry.Just be aware that you may have some touch up to do if you should decide to purchase.Getting a good ukulele, in need of no adjustments or corrections these days has become a real crap shoot, even with a higher priced ukulele such as a Fender, Ibanez, Martin, Enya and many, many others.Quality control has just gotten terrible after COVID.

Beautiful over sized long neck ukulele.
This item was delivered today, several days early. It was well packaged and only slightly out of tune. I was playing within a minute of unpacking it. Sounds good. Checked intonation up and done the neck. Seems good. I hadn't realized it but this is a long neck use, as indicated in the use details on eddyfinn's web site. I am delighted with this cool ukulele. Only improvement would be if it was packaged with a gig bag.
