Q: Does this take two slices of bread to make toasted cheese? Does it grill with the door open (my new oven doesn't! :-()

Yes it does take 2 slices of bread to make toasted cheese. However I tend to turn the bread just to make sure it cooks evenly. I have grilled with door open and closed I cannot see a difference. Hope this helps.

Q: I have wood worktops does it need to be placed on heat resistant mat?

It does get hot so yes I would place on a mat so as not to scorch your work surface. I use mine in my caravan as I don’t have an oven in it, I’m very pleased with the performance.

Q: Cleaning what do I clean the inside with please?

Hi you can use a normal oven cleaner with jay cloth or you can get a oven sheet to have on the bottom easier to clean
