It's Motorola! It works well and picks up a WiFi signal way before my girls Vortek phone. Worth the money.

This is the second one I've purchased, I bought the first as a replacement for my Google pixel 7 that started giving issues, until the charging port stopped working and I bought a second one to replace it because I liked it so much for my wife, which then became the "house phone" for general calls like insurance and bills, the people complaining about it not being unlocked are probably not familiar with carrier compatibility, I use a sim card for a 3rd party carrier and it works fine, as long as the carrier supports gsm you'll probably be fine but do a little research before you buy...

If you are coming from a high end phone, you'll definitely feel that this is slow. However, it does work well with most apps. A good burner phone/backup. The main problem seems to be the only 3GB of RAM memory, everything else is great, including the camera.

Works great using wifi without sim card

I had the same phone and used it for about 3 years it was an excellent phone until I dropped it and shattered the screen then I ordered another one from Amazon because I knew the SIM card would work in it the first couple of days it worked fine then all of a sudden it got to work it kept locking up on me constantly I have to turn it off then back on to get it to work properly I went around around with Amazon's automated system trying to get a replacement but it keeps wanting to send me a refund I don't want a refund I just want a replacement then I started chatting with the associate or whatever they call those people and he kept telling me well we will give you a refund how hard is it to understand that I don't want to refund I just want a replacement

I HAD A NEW MOTOROLA MOTO G PLAY 2023 CELL PHONE WITH A 3 DAY BATTERY. I PURCHASED THE PHONE FROM METRO BY T MOBILE FOR $120. NEVER HAD ANY ISSUSES WITH THE BATTERY.. WHILE PLAYING GOLF THE PHONE FELL OUT OF THE CART, PHONE DESTORED.. I TRY TO REPAIR IT MYSELF. I ORDER A NEW GLASS FACE.. BIG MISTAKE. SO I WENT TO METRO TO PURCHASE ANOTHER PHONE. THEY WANTED $160 FOR THE SAME PHONE.. SO LOOK ON THE INTERNET TO FINE A PHONE.. I FOUND THIS PHONE AT A GOOD PRICE. THOUGHT I COULD PUT MY STEM CARD IN IT AND IT WOULD WORK. PUT THE STEM CARD IN, PHONE DID NOT WORK.. HAD TO GO TO METRO AND PAY $27.00 TO GET PHONE SET TO WORK.. THE PHONE LOOKED NEW AND WAS REFIRBISHED. THE PHONE WORKS FINE, THE BATTERY DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE I CHARGE IT EVERYNIGHT. IT GOES DEAD AROUND 10PM EVERYNIGHT. SO I MADE ANOTHE MISTAKE, TRYING TO SAVE MONEY.. I need a cheap phone for a rarely used US Mobile (Verizon network) back-up line. I got burned on a cheap Umidigi phone that appeared to work, showed connectivity but actually would not make calls or allow APN alterations. Didn't find that out until I had it for 6 months, so no return. I've had many Moto G phones and loved every one (except the battery expansion 2021 models). Good solid phones with exceptional battery life. When I saw this I figured hey, why not? It came with a small blemish on the corner and showed a Consumer Cellular splash screen. I went through the minimal Google setup, installed the SIM, and everything worked. If I see any problems develop with glitches or battery life I will update this review, but right now everything looks good.

So glad I took a chance and ordered this unlocked phone on Amazon. I love Motorola Phones. But I was afraid I would have issues getting it set up, like others had mentioned in reviews, etc. I just wish there had been some kind of basic instructions included with it. There were none and I felt I was on my own! They really should have instructions, even a half page of information. Finally, figured out that I needed to remove the SIM CARD from my OLD phone and insert it into this NEW phone! I didn't know that at first. Once I finally set it up, I was off and running. I really like this phone. Nice features for my purposes.

Stays charged for days ,speed is not bad ,only thing 😔 don't like is the notification crap. I can't turn the damn thing off , goes off every minute and there's no notification message. ? Annoying ,I had to turn off the ringer completely.

Arrived exactly when expected. Item is SUPER!! My Motorola G play is a fantastic piece of tech. I really love the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. Double chop motion flashlight is super convenient. that's why I always buy Motorola!

Youtube videos stutter (like the YouTube videos will freeze for one second and then continue playing instead of playing smoothly) then after a while the app would crash, and that is because this phone only has 3 GB of RAM if you don't want this to happen you should get a phone with more RAM

As also stated by other purchasers, the phone I have received is locked to Xfinity, despite it clearly being described as unlocked, added to which, there is not a shred of information with it and trying to find any kind of manual for this exact model online has proved impossible. Result - I have instigated the Amazon return procedure within two hours of receiving the item. Frankly, I should receive compensation for the waste of my time and patience for receiving an item which has been wilfully falsely described. For all I know it's a marvellous phone, but I will never know, nor, given the vast alternative choices, care.
