Wesco Kickmaster (33L) Waste Bin - Almond

We have had some other bins in the past - you know, the brushed aluminium sort, with a pedal and flip lid. Over time they've all conked. I might suggest from Herself ramming too much rubbish in and then having to grip the brushed aluminium frame to yank the bin out. Not good, got fed up with it, decided to try something different . . .First the good points:1 Its sturdy. REALLY sturdy. I think this is a German Company that started after the war when they were looking for something to do now they could no longer make panzers or heinkels or whatever.2 The bin is on the inside, you get to it by lifting the whole outer case up and off. Herself can no longer jam extra rubbish in, we will never dent the case on this Bad Boy (also see 1 above)3 The bin lid opens by pushing the pedal and the two sides opening down the central line. Also because Herself can no longer jam the extra rubbish in, the lid wont flop down on top of too much rubbish leaving an icky residue on the underside of the bin lid.Let me try and think of some bad points:1 I've seen other reviews saying the two plastic side handles and the pedal are made of cheaper plastic. Well, yes, I suppose they are. But I wouldn't worry about it, really . . .2 You ARE going to loose the rubber band they give you (it goes around the black plastic bag on the 'inner bin' to hold the plastic in place a bit). Turns out it works fine without . . .3 Okay, the big one: This bad boy IS pricey. Well I think it is anyway. But. Its really really good . . .Buy it: It looks good, sturdily built, looks like it will last forever, and has a few nice design thoughts (I always like it when someone has thought things through before manufacturing).

Life time purchase very sturdy ! Love the design just lift the lid off and your bin is ready to empty feel like I have my very own garbage disposal:) I’m looking at other products on line from this company I’m so impressed

We bought this bin, which is almost identical to our existing bin, and which needed to be replaced as it was 12 years old, was showing signs of rust, and the metal bracket supporting the pedal had developed a crack. The bin is a good, strong, product, has an excellent capacity and the addition of the soft closing lid is a big improvement. Slightly disappointed with the device used to secure a bin liner as it is simply a large rubber band, rather than the solid, strong, rubber ring that we had with the original bin and which we, fortunately, had retained. Otherwise pleased with it and would recommend it.

I purchased this bib to replace the exact same model that I had purchase 15 years earlier ! Love the new soft close addition ! Very classy bin and no plastic bags visible as they are completely hidden but the main body. Was worried that shipping from the Netherlands would come with dents or damage .....extremely well packed and no need to worry. Customer care was excellent!! Highly recommend this seller.

Broke after little use but got a quick refund.

I bought this bin in 2007 having been seduced by the minimalist sleek look and apparent premium quality of Wesco products. I thought a kitchen bin costing well in excess of £100 would be a durable product that would function and look good in my kitchen for many years. So I've been very disappointed with this product. After only 18 months the bin lid mechanism failed with the lid being stuck permanently open. Fortunately Amazon replaced the bin with a new one at no cost. However, the replacement bin has also failed a further 3 years on with exactly the same fault. The bin has been subjected to normal domestic household use and I would have, therefore, expected it to last much longer given the price. Also, the silver paint on the plastic side handles has come off very quickly and certainly don't look very good. Finally, the bin lid mechanism, when it is working, snaps shut when closing, so if you have young children I would avoid buying this bin as this could cause a nasty injury to little hands. I've replaced the Wesco bin with a Simplehuman soft close pedal bin and hope I'll have better luck this time.

I always wanted one of these - I thought the opening mechanism was kind of groovy. The rubber band that holds the bin-liner to the bin disappeared the day we bought it - but it didn't seem to make much difference and worked fine. Until a metal plate holding the opening mechanism sheared off and the flaps fixed open. Happily it was within a year and I was very impressed with the collection system - it really was as simple as printing a label and leaving it on the doorstep.Sadly I cant recomemnd what is a lovely looking design piece because it broke

Had this product already in Germany... happy to get it here as well. Outstanding functionality and sturdiness. You can open the "mouth" with the foot button and put in your garbage without opening a door first. And it looks great. I was sceptical whether it will be delivered without damage, but all was fine...

Ich habe den Kickmaster jetzt schon fast genau 10 Jahre täglich in der Benutzung. Es fehlen zum Geburtstag nur 2 Monate. Und noch immer keine Rezension geschrieben. Also hier mal meine Meinung:Für mich ist nach dieser Zeit wirklich alles toll. Das Produkt hat eine tolle Qualität. Lediglich die Seitengriffe haben Abnutzungsspuren, aber das sieht man nur, wenn man genau hinsehen will aber man die Teile auch als Ersatz kaufen und austauschen. Also langlebig, schön und absolut den Preis wert.Ansonsten keine Probleme bisher. Also ich gehe mal davon aus, dass er auch die Kinder überleben wird noch ewig halten wird. Wirklich mal ein geiles Produkt.

Es ist der 2. Mülleimer vo Wesco der erste hat 20 Jahre gehalten.Schön ist das er so soft schließt und die Farbe Neusilber besser ausfällt wie beschrieben.Schnellere Lieferung wie angegeben.Danke immer wieder gerne.

Beau design - ouverture fonctionnelle et silencieuse.

Zag (en ziet) er mooi uit met z'n klassieke design en, in mijn geval, rode uitvoering.MAAR: goedkope afwerking, pedaal en deksel in fake 'chroom'. Is nu al duidelijk dat deze het zwakke punt zijn. Bovendien is de afvalemmer niet geurvrij afgesloten, vermits de 'mantel' er gewoon overheen dient te worden geplaatst. Dit concept is dan ook tot overmaat van ramp nog eens totaal onpraktisch. Het geheel kan uitsluitend 'schuivend' worden verplaatst - niet opgetild dus, want in dat geval blijft de afvalemmer immers staan.Had ik het maar geweten...
