I use mine as a bread box. I wanted something that would hold a lot of bread products, and would look nice on my counter. Was pleasantly surprised when it got here. It was straight forward to putting together,and was very sturdy. Very handsome product. There is a removable self inside. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!Now this is in no way a neg. Just a FYI. If you happen to only open the door halfway to retrieve something on the bottom, you can accidently move the self back. So the next time you go to open it fully, the shelf gets in the way. Just reach up and pull it forward. If you know you want to keep the self in, you can do as I did and put a drop of wood glue on each side, after having centered the self.

I’ve had a metal one level bread box for like ever and nothing ever fit in there and it pissed me off daily. When I saw this one, it looked like exactly what we needed and I was not wrong. I put it together fairly quickly and easily. It’s well made and all part fit and aligned well. I absolutely LOVE the double compartment design cause it keeps us more organized. The only thing that I can complain about is color... I wish there’d be a dark wood option as well cause my cabinets are dark wood... but there’s nothing wrong with this one either. Overall, I like it, husband likes it, our bread all fits in there and it looks great. Definitely recommend it.

Very easy for this 82 year old women to put together. I love the size and the fact that my counter space is organized.

The bamboo planks themselves are fine, but the tools are useless so it's extremely frustrating that you're left with fine pieces that can't be assembled.First there are only 2 types of nails and both need Allen wrench. And the two Allen wrenches coming with the package do not fit. I have an extensive toolbox but shockingly do not have the Allen wrench size that fit the nails.Second, the holes drilled into one plank is crooked so the nails can't fully go in to connect the two planks.This all happened when I tried to put the first two planks together. And I couldn't proceed, so not sure if there are any other quality issues.Would not recommend.

This bread box is a good size, but took longer to assemble than I expected. The door does not seem to be of a good quality and sticks periodically.

We have wanted a bread box for a long time as our kids go through bread rather quickly and we wanted a better storage area than the top of the refrigerator. The two tier design is nice as we usually place the sliced wheat bread at the top and a loaf of Italian bread or buns on the bottom. The bread does seem to last a bit longer and not become stiff or moldy.

We have things we use every day that we don't want to take out and put away two or more times per day, but we also don't like the counters to look as cluttered as they do when everything is out on display. We have an electric kettle inside one, which we did not install the back onto (or the shelf) in order to allow the kettle to be plugged in. We pull it forward to use it, push it back into the box, and close the door. How much more tidy our kitchen looks with these! We actually have 3 now - I am using a third one to organize the different foods and feeding tools for our aquarium fish. These are pretty versatile even though they're marketed as bread boxes.
