EXIGENT Game Save Cartridge Retro for Nintendo 64 N64 System Console + 16gb SD Memory Card (ED64)

Great gaming accessory the first one I order didn’t work. But I had hope for the second one. And it did work live all the selections of games

The media could not be loaded. I've had this cart for over a month and it runs perfectly fine. I'm very experienced with emulation and console modification as a whole, so it was quite easy to set up. Some mentioned that they couldn't play the files they loaded onto the cartridge- provided that you've downloaded your ROMs from a reputable site, you'll have the .zip files of the games on the file to which you downloaded them. It's key to know that, unlike a raspberry pi or other emulation machines, you do NOT add the .zip file to the microSD. Instead, you'll only need the .z64 file contained inside of the zip file. Copy that file into the appropriate folder based on whether it's a US/EU version game. If you accidentally put an EU game into the US folder or vice versa it'll still run, the folders are just there to keep things organized. There's more than enough space on the provided card as well. As you can see from the provided video, the menu for games is rudimentary at best, but it gets the job done without any extra files taking up space. OoT and many other games run and boot just fine. You don't need to drop $400 on an Everdrive either, lower priced flash carts will not "brick your system" due to supposed to "electrical problems," an idea that floats around a lot in emulation communities. Literally all the system does is read off of the board inside the cartridge, that's it. Save yourself a car payment or two and get yourself a cheaper flash cart that's just as functional for playing all your favourite nostalgic games.

So far so good. Easiest mods I've done to a console. If u can call it a mod. Like another reviewer said.make sure u hit reset to save data. Also games that require a controller pak will still need a controller pak. But it works. It was easy. Plugged in and started playing no issues.

No image with SD card or without SD card. NO change flashing a new firmware. Tried cleaning the pins. Nothing works. I think this cartridge has trouble booting on newer N64 revisions, as mine is a NUS-CPU-08.

I love this since I am able to have my entire N64 library on this cartridge and I didn't want to play through an emulator. The thing that doesn't work is the save backup for me. I played Super Mario 64 and it didn't save my progress at all.

It’s cheaper than the black version because it lacks the mini usb port (it’s useless in the other version) same functions!To save a game you need to restart the console and then shut it down.

You have to remember to hit the Reset button when you're done to make the save permanent, but it works without a problem.

Dead on Arrival... Did not work, not worth the price.
