ALBA BOTANICA Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser 237ml

This is a great cleanser that gently exfoliates surface dead skin without leaving it feeling stripped, and smells lovely. I use this as my morning cleanser to start the day with a clean, smooth face ready for my skincare and makeup. When you first start using this, it may leave your skin a little red, but with further use your skin will get used to the enzymes. No need to scrub with this, as the enzymes act as a chemical exfoliant and you may irritate your skin further. Just lather up, smooth over the face and neck, and leave for a minute or two before rinsing. Nowadays, I leave it on from the start of my shower and rinse it off last for best results. I have already repurchased this a few times and recommended it to a friend who loves it as much as I do for post-microneedling flakiness. It lasts ages, has naturally derived ingredients, and is cruelty free, all for a great price. Love this!

I use this a lot - it's got a nice scent, needs very little per usage so lasts a long while, is good value and, best of all, it has no nasties and doesn't fry my skin or make it itch.

I love this so much. I purchased this on a whim as I love to try out new products each time. Smells beautiful, just like pineapples. Lathers up gently and spreads well across the face. You really don't need a lot. I use this twice a day and my skin feels lovely. Will I purchase this again? Definitely! It's become my favourite (after Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel - unfortunately too expensive for regular use.) Well worth the money, the quality is truly there. Also, Alba means Scotland, which is home :)

I really like this facial wash. I did find it slightly drying at first, but after a few weeks of just nightly use, my skin has gotten used to it. It foams beautifully and my skin is now noticeably smoother and softer. Be careful of the pump though. It does squirt out at quite a high velocity. Overall, great product at a great price.

I bought this product as pineapple enzymes are supposed to be good for problem skin. The product foams up nicely and if I accidentally get it close to my eyes it does not sting.

Ich wende den Gesichtsreiniger nur einmal pro Woche an und finde trotzdem, dass mein Hautbild sich sichtbar verbessert hat. Gleich nach der Reinigung fühlt man sich spürbar sauberer und erfrischt. Trotzdem ist es sehr mild. Mich hat es überzeugt!

This face wash really does live up to Alba's claims! I have very large pores on my nose & chin and just above the brows.....even at nearly 60! TBO it's embarrassing. I have olive skin which was oily with shine in the T zone from puberty on up until around 45, throughout which I've tried everything to control the oil and shine without 100% satisfying results or stripping my skin to feel tight. I shower every morning and by noon, hello shine. (sigh) Then at 50 the T zone shine reduced greatly. I still get lightly oily all over my face but with dry patches on my cheeks and outer brow bones, but as I said the pores are still there. The one thing about my oily, olive skin is that severe wrinkles have been delayed! I do have some fine crows feet and wrinkles on my forehead, but I consider myself very lucky in that department at this age. Needing a good face wash, I immediately looked to Alba for it's formulations. I prefer to use organic products as much as possible, and I have always liked Alba's products. But I decided to research for other options, including a brand recommended on Celiac.org, because I also need gluten free. (Found that out in 2008) For me personally, the less steps in skin care, the better. I was not finding any other option that met my standards and goals, so I bought this face wash for the pore refining attribute and I felt that all boxes are checked, including affordability. I just received it yesterday and I used it before bed. It did not strip my face or make it feel tight, and my pores reduced greatly! Now, I am a "wash cloth" kind of gal because I have always felt I get a better clean, and I can't stand water running down my forearms and neck (unless I'm in the shower) but last night I decided to splash to wet and wash with my fingers instead, to test this face wash by following the directions. I also used the oil free face cream (for the first time, too) before bed, but with concern that my pores will open back up. Let me tell you, this morning, my pores still look fantastic, and my face is not oily, but dewy!! I am so very happy! My cheeks will need extra attention especially since it is still winter, but they do feel so much better! The scent of this face wash is lovely, very light and airy, as expected from Alba. I have always loved Alba's products, and I'm not surprised that this was the best option for me. The bottle had leaked in the bag some during shipping, but it was full and the liquid was minimal. Easy to wash off. Why fuss unnecessarily only to defeat the purpose of my 5 star review? I highly recommend this face wash! It makes washing up a positive experience because it actually provides results!!

This will be good for those who do not use strong face products or sunscreen. I've been using it for a few months now as the bottle size is decent however I am waiting for it to finish so I can research another face wash. I find it other face washes gets rid of eye make up, this one can remove the eyelid make up however the make up stains under the eyes. I double cleanse with this one, I use an oil based cleaner to get rid of sunscreen and eye make up then use this after as my final wash. It doesn't really have a strong smell, it's not a pleasant smell either, I don't look forward to my skincare routine with this one. It would benefit Children I believe however.

I have been using this facial cleanser for 5 years now. I love how it foams and it takes all of my makeup off including my waterproof mascara! The added bonus is that this product is natural, and gentle on the skin. I have sensitive skin and I’ve never experienced rashes, breakouts or other problems. Also it smells so refreshing and the pineapple smell wakes me up in the mornings! Love it!
