Easton 2018 USA Baseball 2 5/8 Beast X Hybrid Youth Bat -10

The first time we used this bat in fall baseball league, my son had 7 RBIs. For a USA bat it has great pop. I really like the hybrid alloy barrel and composite handle. Absolutely no hand sting. For a 31/21 it did weigh 22.4oz, so a little heavier than advertised. It is also end heavy, so it will take a bigger kid to swing. But works great for us. The ball really jumps from this bat, a far as USA bats are concerned.

These bats get so little attention but we have owned the 28, 29, and 30, and all of thrm got super hot for USA bats. They take time to break in but once they do you won't be disappointed. Never broken.

My son needed a USA certified bat for Little League (used 1 game this fall and will hopefully be used for the spring season). I got this 2018 model for a great price and it seems to be a great bat so far.

Bought this bat in the 29” -10, for my 8 1/2 year old son for Christmas. I was a little disappointed (but not surprised because of reading other reviews) when I picked it up for the first time as it felt noticeably too heavy. By my scale, it comes in just under 22oz, which it was supposed to be 19oz. I worried a bit since my son is a fairly small kid but my mind was quickly put to ease when we went in our batting cage for the first time and he swung it just fine and was raking pretty good. The sweet spot seems pretty big and he was quickly praising the bat for the little to no hand sting. Fast forward to today, and he used it in a game. He went 4 for 5 with it. With one of the hits being an absolute lazer beam. It has a nice sound to it too. Not super tingy but enough of an alloy sound to tell you when he got a hold of one. There were at least 5 different USA bats being used and I think the Beast X Hybrid out performed them all but it’s hard to say for certain though because kids are definitely not used to them all yet?I would recommend this bat for someone looking at the more expensive bats. From my experience and from researching it, I think it’s a better bat than the Ghost X. Is it better than the old Makos? Probably not but that’s just the way things are now and I think everyone is just gonna have to get over it and ball up with these new ones!The main thing is to get your kids a new big barrel bat sooner rather than later, so they can get used to swinging them! My son received this for his birthday 2 weeks ago. He used it for 2 and one time at the batting cages. The grip tape is already coming off! This bat is not messed with other than used at the field, very disappointed to see this with such a highly rated bat!

Nice pop. Top heavy for a good swing. Been getting great use put of it this baseball season.

Best bat I could get for his level of play. Can totally tell a difference between this, and your everyday, $40 bat from the local sporting goods store. If anything, it gives him more confidence, since he's already a good hitter. I'll buy another one, once he outgrows this one.
