I needed to add security camera at a specific location in my house, I had an existing security camera at that spot but need to add second one to achieve good coverage. Unfortunately I don't have any unused/spare Cat5 cable going to that location, but using this network+POE splitter I was able to connect two POE security cameras to a single cable. The splitter acts as a network switch, also it provides POE power to 2 downstream devices using upstream POE source. Since upstream POE source can be POE+ (802.3at), power budget is 30 watt, providing 12-13 watt per downstream POE device - more than enough for most security cameras. The splitter is compact, I was able to hide it inside the junction box, making it clean installation.

I have a ten camera reolink system. It worked perfectly for half a year or so before the camera farthest away started randomly dropping. Another year later the second farthest camera started randomly DROPPING. A reddit comment made me realize that over time the power supplies of these NVR start failing over time and recommended this device which I didn't even know existed. I have no Idea of the science of these. It's not powered separately so all the power is still coming from the nvr, yet using it and plugging in two cameras restored interruption free service. Time will tell if this is a reliable device but for now I am very pleased.

one of the best investments when you have add additional poe devices to one existing Ethernet wire also these things are so durable I live in Florida and we have extreme heat and so many lightening storms prior before this I would have a standard 4 port POE switch plugged into a water proof junction box I would have to change the poe switch at least once a year because of the storms so far these devices are rock solid

My desktop computer and a Echo Hub share the Ethernet connection on my desktop. This PoE splitter worked perfectly and provided full bandwidth to my computer while powering and giving network access to the Echo device. Unfortunately, it lasted less than a year, is still under warranty and I can't get any response from VIMIN support. The extender box is completely dark and I've tested my network connection and all the cables. I'm hoping this negative review will shake something loose, but it's a shame the support doesn't match the original functionality of the device. I guess I'll have to buy another one from a different seller.

I verified the two devices that I wanted to share power and ethernet were under the 30w rating and plugged them both into the one wire I had hanging already. Both devices powered up and work perfectly. One is a gigabit wireless AP, and the other a 100Mbps IP camera. This device works great for both!

We needed something economic and easy to use with a slick design. This item fill in all the boxes, I will highly recommend this to optimize the range of to any PoE Devices, such as cameras Wi-Fi extenders or network telephones. If we come to the point of having to use more of these I am certain that this will be my go to device.

funktioniert, wie es sein soll. Ich habe ein LAN Kabel damit auf 2 PoE Kameras aufgeteilt - d.h. 1 x LAN (mit PoE) rein und auf der anderen Seite 2 St. LAN mit den PoE Kameras verbunden. Klappt ohne Probleme und so musste ich kein Kabel mehr zusätzlich nachziehen.

El título lo dice todo. Lo he usado para alimentar dos aparatos con ethernet y me ha resuelto el problema de forma estable. No tengo medios para cuantificar por lo que sólo doy mi opinión subjetiva.
