I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to icloud and google photos - I much prefer the old, manual method of backing up files, with a cable, on to a hard drive. I was having huge issues with my iphone 16 showing up on my PC, the device simply does not appear in Device manager no way no how. Tried many cables and many computers. Maybe it's a setting in the phone. Regardless; It occurred to me these phones have USB-C and these "flash drives" exist. I read in a few places you can use them to transfer photos, and that was exactly my plan. It has fantastic build quality, works great right out of the box, and helped me complete my mission (of backing up photos) super quickly and painlessly through the Files app. I recommend this method to anyone.

Works great, can attach to phone and use as storage Works great, purchased new phone for wife and she wanted to move all her photos and videos to computer storage and nice fast drive, really like it has type C on one end and type A on others if someone has older computer without type C ports, don't have to carry around adapter. Almost as fast as an internal M.2 SATA SSD ( WD blue 500gig from 2017) and saturated normal mechanical SATA drive. The capacity of 512 gig is impressive for the price, a few of the reasons I purchased this over others ir this showed transfer rate, built in cover for the type c end, capacity , aluminum case and cost. Nice keyring carry case easy to carry around if you want to carry software for troubleshooting systems. Nice solid aluminum case don't have to worry about breaking if sat on or dropping. Recommend this if you want a USBC drive with more space than most cellphones and due to the removal of the SD card in most phones, this is a great option if you are traveling and bringing music and/or movies to be played on phone.

Worked great on my linux setup - no additional drivers or software or anything required fore setup or use - Quite fast via USB A 3.2 plug. Metal exterior and a nice weight. Also worked for transferring and backing up my files from my phone via usb C. Great product!

I just bought two USB gen 2 sticks from different vendors. This one claimed to be reading at speeds of 550 MB/sec, and I was leery. So many items never live up to their own hype. Well I have a slick tool now to measure such things, and this **delivered**. I am using EaseUS DiskMark which is part of their Partition Master Professional app. Sure enough it slightly *exceeded!!!* 550 MB on Sequential Read. For those newer to drive speeds in general, Sequential Read is the fastest (and so the metric companies claim), followed by slowing Random Read, Sequential write, and Random write (writing is just slower). Poor quality sticks often have a decent Read speed, that they use to market it, but terrible write speeds. This stick delivered! Its worst stat, random write, had only dropped to around 400 MB/sec which is an outstanding number and lack of the usual degradation in speed. Top marks. But the stick itself is a joy, almost space age. This stick has the feel you could whack it with a hammer all day. Ive had metal thumb drives before but the aluminum never felt sturdy. whatever alloy this is is tough as nails! In the photo, the little flip-back bar protecting the USB-C port looks pretty tiny - I assure you its no joke and *absolutely* will protect the port. Same goes for the other end and the USB-A connector cap - blast proof! The pouch for a keychain it comes with is also of high quality with a focus on durability, both in the leather-ish material, and especially the ring itself - its not going anywhere. I would have written this review just for my happiness with its speed, but the physical durability really puts it into a different category. At this price point there is just no reason to buy a cheap plastic thumb drive, and one where youre unsure of how badly it will degrade (if it even meets) its listed speed. This delivers on all fronts and is so robust it will last a lifetime. Slap it on that key chain, it can handle the abuse. drop it on the floor, stomp on it, no effect (im not joking). Absolute GEM of high quality mixed with durability and speed. This brand is now up there with Kingston and Samsung in my book (which is a long list of buying cheap disappointments)

The exFAT format worked for my Win11 laptop. Backed up 28GB in 7 minutes. The USB A side worked fine. The USB C side was very tight and the flip up cover restricts putting it into my HP laptop to only one way. Not a big deal. I will use it to back up special files daily and an image every two weeks. The files were 11MB and took less than a minute. It does get warm to the touch but I bought it for the aluminum casing-no plastic.

Se calienta poquito pero es normal de ese material. No hay más. La mejor usb con la que he trabajado. Punto. Se acabó el juego, esta es la mejor USB para DJ's. Velocidades espectaculares de hasta 200-250MB/s de ESCRITURA. Cuando una USB normal de alto performance alcanza apenas los 50MB/s. Es un hecho que volveré a comprar más dispositivos de SSK.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I couldn't recommend more! It's very durable, the case is very good and the ring is secure and hasn't bent yet, it connects to my laptop and phone and PC very easily, never had a problem with connectivity, the USB-A or USB-C, it's a good size, it fits in the palm of your hand, I think it's it good value for money as well, I love it and use it everyday, the only thing that's wrong is it gets warm when you use it, but it's not a problem for me.
