I was buying this food for our cats for a long time then I noticed one of the cats would only eat some food and eventually stopped eating it entirely. I didn’t think too much of that until the other cats started leaving partially eaten amounts in their bowls. That’s when I noticed there was slivers of bones in the bowls. The day I found a large hard piece of what looked like a fin I emailed the company. Their response was “we’ll tell quality control and you can return the rest”. Between my last email to the company and before the news of their product recall one of our cats because gravely I’ll with a mystery sickness. I stopped buying their food due to the poor quality and stupidly fed the rest of what we had left to the only cat who would eat this stuff. Poor cat was sick for several weeks with throwing up and diarrhea. She is better now thankfully.Since the recall and the cats stopped eating this trashy food, they throw up hardly never. I didn’t realize how bad this food was until the recall.You can google ‘Midwestern pet foods recall’ and find info.Don’t let food with the word ‘holistic’ fool you into thinking it’s a healthier choice. They could care less about your beloved pets.

So stinky, but I don't like tuna, so....My kitty does not mind the scent, as she gobbles this down pretty quickly. The pouch is recyclable through a program called Terracycle, which earns money back for my school, so that makes me happy.

I have an elderly cat on pain meds for arthritis and she tends to get constipated. This is the one and only pumpkin food I can get into her. Give her this couple times a week and we have had no problems since. Don’t know if it is the extra fiber or what but I can say it’s easier than forcing laxative/stool softener.

There is enough food per packet for 2-3 cats if they also receive kibble. Pumpkin helps kill parasites. My 2 cats love this flavor & a few more of theirs.

My 15 year old kitty loves this and other canned Earthborn. I never thought she would like pumpkin but she does. Good for her tummy fiber.
