A narrow frame and three-eyelet vamp make for a sleek chukka from Florsheim. In 1892, Milton Florsheim began producing shoes in a small factory located in Chicago, Illinois. The first pairs of Florsheim shoes made by Milton and his father, Sigmund, were a remarkable combination of style, comfort and high quality workmanship. This tradition continues today with the Florsheim family's commitment to producing trend-right, high quality footwear. Florsheim shoes are always available in a wide range of sizes and widths.

Excellent chukka boot for the price
The leather is a bit too smooth to my fingers (if it weren't at least flexible, I would've guessed patent leather) and very glossy, but that's about it as far as gripes go.This is an otherwise excellent boot that is surprisingly comfortable despite having a leather sole. The shape is modern and sleek, with an elongated vamp. Three eyelets, leather sole with a rubber heel. Foamy insole, and that's about all you've got concerning the shoe. It's dead simple, and that's exactly why I would recommend this boot. It can, very easily, confuse others into thinking you've bought yourself a traditional dress shoe, but it gives you that additional versatility that boots give, lending itself well to casual outfits just as well as the formal ones.Would definitely buy again (I got mine in black). I happened to get it while it had a 50% deal going on (thanks Nick) but normally it hovers around the $135 mark, and even at that price, I would still consider picking one up.Attached is a picture of my boots after a couple weeks of on and off wear.

I like it!
Leather is soft and supple. Fits about right for a 14 3E, no breaking in required. For a full leather sole it's not too harsh, quite comfortable really, and not as slippery as I thought it'd be. Only issue for me is if I lace it up tight, it bites above the ankles so I wear it with the laces a bit loose. Not sure if it's the shoe or just me. Still don't know how durable it's going to be, but it's comfy and looks pretty sharp.Add: a year later and the soles are splitting and the uppers are coming off the soles as well, all around the ball of the foot. Durability might be a factor then, because they were worn maybe three days a week, and even then not each and every week. Or I think I simply have shoe-destroying feet.

Great Fit, Great Look, I'm happy
I'm giving this five stars even though I just received them in the mail so I haven't truly worn them all day. I have big feet, 14 wide. When I looked at them for the first time the style was perfect, I usually wear chukka boots, but more casual. These fit my style but I thought "there's no way they will fit they look way too small."I put them on and they went on perfectly. I walked around--slid around for the first few minutes until I scuffed them up a bit. They felt great. They didn't need a break in period. Looked like my everyday shoe only more formal for work.In case you're curious my everyday shoes are black Timberland EK City Light Lace-up (Not Waterproof). So this is just an extension to my already defined style.Might not hold up but I don't care, if it lasts a year then great.

Very comfortable
I have a wide foot, often have trouble fitting dress shoes. I took a chance on these and I am very pleased with the fit and quality. The only thing is the laces slip a lot and need to be pretty tight to work well.

The shoe width was fine. However
I ordered the Florsheim Men's Jet Chukka Boot in Brown in a size 11 3E. It is an attractive ankle boot. The shoe width was fine. However, the length of the shoe felt a bit longer than other shoes that I have owned of the same size. Also the top of the boot irritated the area above my ankles because of its constant rubbing. So in the beginning it felt strange to walk in the boot with what felt like an extra inch or so beyond my big toe and the constant need to adjust the opening at the top of the boot to make it wider so as to reduce the rubbing. But persistence pays off. After wearingthe boot around five or six times for about 4 to 6 hours each time it broke in and fits well. It has become a fairly comfortable ankle boot that is alsoattractive.

Great looking boot!!
Purchased these instead of a regular dress shoe because they are a very good looking boot.I have only worn them a handful of times to a couple of weddings an parties and they have been comfortable throughout the whole day, even at the end of the night after hours of dancing. The quality of the boots is very good, as noted by all the compliments I get when wearing them.

Jet Chukka-Black-Florsheim
These boots ARE sleek. Perhaps "ruggedly classy" ? They look awesome sticking out from under pant legs. I've seen a few people do a double take when I sat down, I guess they weren't expecting boots. They're comfortable, feel really light, fit well. I usually take a 10 and these are about true to typical size, on average, since every manufacturer has their own idea of sizes. I figure the "toe-box" is just a little generous but not sloppy, I can put a thick sock on and have room. They are smooth on the leather sole and will slip until the bottom gets scuffed up but still, I wouldn't get reckless.Very nice, get 'em. you won't regret it I'm sure. I'm going to order the brown. Would be nice if they came in other colour too though.

Bad leather and WAY too narrow.
Problem #1: This leather is incredibly easy to scuff and looks terrible once it is. Mine actually arrived scuffed, but I can't blame Amazon. The soft paper in the box was enough to cause the damage.Problem #2. This is really for all Florsheim shoes: they are incredibly narrow. If you have even slightly wide feet, avoid all Florsheim shoes - yes, even the supposed 3E widths. I've tried supposed 3Es from them a few times and each time the shoe is narrower than any of the D width shoes I own.

Fits well and is a nice shoe, but has a more turned-up toe than shown in the photo and not a style I would have purchased if I had seen them. But my mistake not the vendors. the price was very good and is was shipped quickly.
