Champion Men's Eco Open Bottom Pant

I read some reviews of this product that said they were really long; that the inseam of a Large was 33 inches, not 32 like it should be according to the chart. No one should be surprised: If you look at the picture, you will see the pants crumple up at the ankles -- they are long. Larges were exactly 33 inches in inseam when I got them (as the review said), but I washed them in hot water and they shrunk to exactly 32 inches on the inseam and fit perfectly. The waist is not 36, it is more like a 38 or 39, but so are every pair of size 36 pants I own, from jeans to khakis to dress pants. They have been lying to us for years. I guess everybody gets fatter and doesn't want to know about it, so the waist sizes creep up every year. But, since no once gets taller, inseams are usually accurate. The bottom line is the sweatpants fit exactly like I'd expect for the size after the hot wash. I wear them around the house either barefoot or with flip flops and hate long sweatpants because the cuff drags at the heel and frays or gets wet outside. They are now exactly the right length for barefoot/flip-flop wear. They come to just a quarter inch above the ground in the back. When I wear them with sneakers the cuff comes to the top of the sole of my shoe in the back and has a nice break in the front. If you want them to look crumpled up around your shoe, like in the picture, just don't hot wash them like I did, because they looked just like the picture before I washed them. Otherwise they are durable and comfy. Good for around the house or lifting at the gym. Just basic, decent-quality sweatpants. They stretch out a bit between washes and can start to feel really baggy and begin to get longer. But this takes all day and a wash fixes it.

These do fit very long, but I knew that ahead of time so was expecting it. My wife bought me a pair of these at a local retailer and I loved them, so when I wanted another pair I knew to get a Large. I am 6'3" with a 32" inseam, 36" waist and the large size is perfect. Yes, they are VERY long out of the box, but they're also made of 80% cotton so I knew they'd shrink. Right out of the box I had to fold over the bottom of the pants as they were about 4" too long. BTW...look at the product picture - they are bunched up at the bottom so this shouldn't be a surprise to anybody. But after one wash/dry cycle they fit perfect (still just a little long, but don't want them too short). From now on I will always hang dry so they don't shrink more. They are very soft on the inside with the fleece, and while they aren't outdoor in the winter thick...they are warm to wear around the house. I do like these a lot and only knocked it down to 4 stars because of the issues with sizing (although I knew what to do, I shouldn't have to try to shrink them to fit) and I also agree with others about the draw string (cut them and tie knots at each end works fine, but I shouldn't have to do that). Overall great sweatpants and I'll likely buy again.

First off, I love these sweats. They are great quality. I have now ordered 6 (!) pair. However, the reason I have ordered 6 isn't just because I love them so much; it's because the foot bands vary wildly. Let me explain. In the title of the item, it mentions a "relaxed band." That's the foot band. (I had no idea.) It's lucky Amazon offers free returns, because it was trial and error for me. I ordered a pair of open-band and a pair of relaxed-band, both in medium. I am a size 34 and found that, personally, the mediums were a little tight for me. Sorry, but I don't like the world to be able to see the outline of my hardware. I also found that the relaxed-band was perfect and the open-band hung down way below my feet. I sent both back, and I then ordered again, in large, both relaxed-band. They arrived. The black ones had relaxed-bands that kept them from falling off my feet. The grey, meanwhile, had a VERY relaxed band that might as well have been the open-band. And, unfortunately, I must have short legs, because while the mediums are already too long for me, the larges are WAY too long. My solution is to keep the black ones where the bands stay above my feet and sadly return the grey ones. I have ordered two more pair, in grey and navy, just to see, hoping that at least one of the two pair will again stay above my feet. So, in summary, it is a crap shoot as to what the foot bands are going to be like. And at least for me, the legs even on the mediums (which is the appropriate size for me) are way too long, and I am 5'9". That's why I need closed (but relaxed) bands. If you buy with your size, they will not be super loose (although I see another review advised to buy a size too small because they're too big! too long, I can see, but not too big, at least for me--maybe they don't like baggy). Hope this helps someone make less returns than I have.

This size large, black in color, made in el salvador sweat pants are a bit bigger than I expected. I'm 5'9", 190lbs with a 36" waist and the size large pants actually sag on me and the bottoms need to be rolled up about 2" to prevent me from stepping on the pants. If not rolled up the pants would extend past my heel to about the middle of my feet so the inseam is quite long. I'd estimate if you're 6'2" or taller you won't need to roll up the bottoms but in the big scheme of things this is a non-factor for me as I planned to use these mainly for lounging around the man cave on chilly days. Hopefully the size description can help you make a determination on the appropriate size for you. These pants do come with pockets on both sides, large enough to hold an entire wallet, car keys, etc. if you're inclined to wear them outside which i suspect many folks plan to do. At a price point under $13 and free prime shipping I will be purchasing more pairs for myself and would not hesitate to give these as gifts to family and/or friends. You won't be disappointed if you purchase these.

It's been impossible for me to find a pair of sweat pants that are think and comfortable unless I wanted to spend $50 for a pair of nike pants. All the other pants in the department stores were those annoying swooshy track pants, or super thin pants that seemed to be more like pajama pants than anything else. So I saw the reviews of this and saw that they were really good thick pants. Now a bit about me, my normal comfortable pant size is about a 30x30. But I like to wear sweat pants over my gym shorts if I'm leaving home and going to the gym or just really want comfy pants. But I was caught between getting a 32x31 medium or a 30x30 small. Maybe other normal sized people won't have a problem, but I did. The extra inch on the leg felt more like 3 inches, but the waist was perfect. But with the really longs legs I returned the medium and got the small. The small legs are great, but not the waist is a bit smaller than I like. They fit over my gym shorts, but not at all comfortably. I'm getting that skinny jean feeling up top, which is the LAST thing I want when wearing sweats. So while they're a good pair of stand alone pants, I'm hoping they stretch out after a few washes so they'll be comfortable over shorts.

I'm going to be honest here. I'm a 5'2" 125lb female. My husband bought these for me because I love comfy sweatpants. These are by far, the best pair of sweatpants I've ever had, as far as comfort goes. Ladies, if you get these, don't expect to be looking all cute, showing off your nice figure. These are strictly for comfort. They are a bit long on me, so the bottoms have torn from hitting the ground. After 1 year of use around the house, I have noticed a few tiny holes developing. So maybe not the best quality. They won't last you more than a few years probably, but they are very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. I loathe the real hot, fleece lined sweatpants. These aren't like that. It doesn't feel like fleece. It feels like all cotton, but it says they are fleece. I've always loved Champion products and this doesn't disappoint.

Stop. Stop. Stop. Just stop. Stop now. Right now. Do not agonize any further over your prospective purchase of sweat pants. Stop looking for a perfect, "5-star" rated sweat pant. You do not need a perfect, 5-star rated sweat pant. What you need is several pairs of good, basic, utility sweat pants. Trust me. I am trustworthy. Worthy of your trust. Look deeply into my eyes and relax. And trust. Yes. Good. These sweatpants are inexpensive, warm, comfy, etc. They're sweat pants. They are the sweatiest sweat pants I have ever owned. And you won't look like an '80's soccer mom on her way to yoga in them, because they're open bottomed and drape nicely over your cross-trainers. Now, click buy. Buy two or three or four. You will wear them. You will be warm while wearing them. And you will be happy with them. Now relax, take a deep breath, and move on to the next agonizing process of finding the right product on Amazon.com.

Comfortable and fit as expected. What more can I say? It was on sale and a great price delivered! The dark navy blue color was a little different for me than the normal grey sweat pants look. I can wear these at the gym and also shopping as they look nice. The side pockets seem to hold my wallet and cell phone nicely, they don't fall out easily like some short pockets do. Also they are not too heavy material wise, so they take less room in washer compared to some bulky heavy types but also aren't too thin. Overall, I am happy with the quality. The drawstring is on the inside and it's a one piece string. That seems weird to try and tie compared to two ended strings but I guess it also can't slip into the holes like the ended cords do sometimes. And since it is on the inside, it doesn't show from the outside.

Love the the pants, a little big for me when i ordered a large, I'm 5"10 & 180lbs. Large champion sweater fits me better, all in all a great pair of sweats, very warm as long johns or pyjamas around the house.

The only complaint is that the sizing chart that they had was off. The are a little big. Having said that they did not shrink when washed feel great.
