There are but 2 steps to work this monster tool. First, line up the tool teeth between the joist and underside of the deck board. Step 2 pull the bar handle toward you and the board breaks free!

This tool is awesome! Breaks down pallets quickly and does not damage the wood. It works so easy my 12 year old daughter was popping pallets apart with ease. Now they were not oak or hard wood pallets, I have not had a chance to try it on that type and hope to update once I do. One thing I would like to point out as you will find other bars like this one for less. This one is welded together on the swiveling flats. The others are bolted on and I feel that is why they fail and get bad reviews. This is a stout bar!

I like using pallet wood for projects, because there is a lot out there and it's great to recycle it. I just learned about this tool after doing a little research. It was a nightmare to pull them apart until I got this tool. It rips them right apart with minimal damage. It almost makes it fun. It is very sturdy as well. Overall I am very pleased with this and encourage you to get one if you want to reuse pallets. It also should work well for pulling up deck boards if you need to do that as well. Very effective tool,
