It works!!!
Belkin Usb Pda (To Serial) AdapterI tried before two of these aftermarket adapters and they did NOT work properly. This Belkin is a whole new -and nice- story, it works flawlessly and also it's a solid piece of hardware, something I know can be use over and over again for years to come. It works!!!Antes probé dos adaptadores baratos y no funcionaron adecuadamente. Este Belkin es algo completamente diferente; trabaja sin fallas, además está muy bien hecho, muy sólido, muy durable.

Works great (once I located correct driver via Google)
Works like a charm and generally auto-installs without CD. However when it doesn't, watch out. Provided cd locked up on me. I finally determined that this cable was actually made by someone else and when I used their driver all was fine. I thought this was pretty crappy for as big a company as Belkin. I actually bought more of them though because it turns out to be most reliable of several I tried. btw... dont buy from Office Max, etc. They charged me over $50 for one until I found exact same unit on Amazon for $13 with free shipping. Sooo... let me do the math. Wholesale cost is prob under 5 bucks. Office Max and other big boxes mark it up TEN times nearly. Hmmm... I'm in business and If I charged that much margin I coulnt sleep at night. Thanks Amazon.

OLD STUFF
This only works with 32 bit Windows system that are old. No windows 7, no vista. This is an antique that the vendor is trying to get rid of.

This is a great product if you have legacy equipment you don't want to spend a big wad on when you get a new PC

Belkin USB Serial Port Adapter
This is to replace an existing one that went bad after a couple of years. It works very well and I haven't had any problems with it.

Driver for Window 10- Here
After unsuccessfully contacting Belkin, it took me a week of internet searches to find the right driver to get this to work on Windows 10. I initially tried the driver on ClearChain that was mentioned in one of the previous reviews. This did not work for me. I was able to get the Windows 7/8 driver on this page to work: http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=5201.

An Excellent Product
This adapter is the first of several that I've tried that both installed without a hitch and works perfectly. So far I haven't found an RS232 device it won't interface to. And I feel it was reasonably priced.

This device is only for old computer with old operating system. I bough it for Windows XP. No good.
