Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The Tacklife circular saw is a solid and robust piece of kit, the blades provided are sharp and cut very quickly and have been used by myself for cutting two inch thick boards as demonstrated in the video. You will see that it cuts through these boards like a knife through butter.The process to change the disc is very straight forward and can be done in seconds and the device has very good safety features including a safety power switch and a self adjust safety guard to ensure as little of the moving part of the blade is exposed as possible. There's also an option to connect the saw up to a dust extractor hoover which I haven't used, but you can see it would be very effective by the amount of dust pouring out of the extractor hole on the side.Overall a great purchase at a reasonable price - can't fault it at all.

I have tested many of these type of saw's, but all failed to deliver what i wanted of them, this one however saved the day, i had many boards that i needed to cut to size and this saw just breezed through them, blade is as good as it was from new, laser light helped allot with some cuts that i needed to do, but most of the time i just turned it off if it was to bright outside, the guide that came with it is a god send when needing a very staight edge, the saw is comfortable to hold is not to heavy, the blade guard has never prevented any forward movement which is great, haven't once had to lift it to start cutting, the cord could do with being a little longer but thats just a small grib on my part, other than that if you need a saw to do some heavey work and not fail you then go for this one and see what you think, if you dont like it then just retrun it, simple as....

Finally I had the time to test this over the weekend. Probably is not the best circular saw on the market, but for the price you get a very good product that does the job, plenty of extra tools and a nice box!I do really like it and I would recommend it to everyone that don’t want to spend a fortune on a saw they will use rarely or for a one big job only.

I don't usually wrote reviews on Amazon. However, on this occasion I felt obliged as this is a piece if equipment that can be very dangerous if used incorrectly. I already own a tacklife jigsaw and must say that it is fantastic and gets the job done. I decided to jump in and purchase this circular saw as I thought that it must be as reliable and as good as the jigsaw. I was wrong to say the least.Firstly, the construction is metal as it should be. However, indidny expect it to be chipped and broken in these areas. Maybe if it was a plastic section of the unit. I have posted images to show the chip.Secondly, the saw attachment gaskets are stuck together. I cannot separate them and therefore the saw blade cannot be attached in the correct alignment. The blade would keep rubbing on the guard which would result in extreme injury for any unaware individuals.Third, the push locking plastic within the spring seems to be damaged during the manufacturing process. I haven't used the saw yet but can only assume that with frequent blade changing, the push locking mechanism will fail and blades will not be able to be changed safely as they would rotate when loosening the bolt that holds the gaskets and blade together.During the current Covid-19 pandemic, I'm sure many individuals are purchasing DIY tools to keep themselves occupied while stuck at home. Please check your tools carefully as defects on circular saws can lead to life threatening injuries.I have never come across Tacklife customer services but it will be interesting to see if they contact me after this review.

Tried to use this to cut clean, dry pallets.. Kept on sticking.. Changed blade, made sure on the same way..same thing happened. SAW also got very hot, smoke from motor. I would not recommend you buy this saw..useless. not even worth sending it back, time I pay the postage and hassle of wrapping etc..bad buy, will.know to buy a named brand next time and not to buy things such as this from Amazon.

With all things that are value or budget purchases, its about whether they do the job, nothing less but nothing more. This almost does the job except for it's not great at cutting perfectly 90 degree cuts (yes, I've checked the angle adjustment guage). I bought it to cut railway sleepers amongst other things. It cuts at about 88 degrees meaning each end is slightly out of line when joining up to other sleepers. Fortunately, I didn't need it to be perfect so can get away with it but would probably spend a bit more money next time. Also find the laser to be a little weak in that its brightness doesn't always allow a visible line to be seen.

I chose this products as it was good value, looked good and had a laser! Also I have 2 other products from Tacklife which are great. I discovered that the item was damaged where the metal body where the laser guide is, is bent. Obviously disappointed, and my only issue is the customer service is shocking, 2 weeks to respond asking me to send pics, I did and that was 1 week ago.. heard nothing since, so am thinking of bending it back into place and hope it doesn’t snap !

Once set up I switched the power on without any contact with the multiply timber to be cut, blue smoke immediately bellowed from the motor I switched it off and wondered if this was normal for a new motor although having never experienced it with other electric DIY tools, this was my first circular saw.Off I went then hoping it would clear itself in use , after a 5ft cut I was unable to see the laser for all the obnoxious fumes and smoke emitting from the motor, I switched off then tried again and hooray no smoke but an awful noise from the motor then it died.It's current whereabouts is the local recycling centre.I strongly advise not to buy this saw no matter hoe sorely you are tempted.
