IDEA Waterproof Motorcycle Gear Indicator Plug & play Red LED Display for Suzuki (Green)

installed this on my 2005 GSXR 600 and must say absolutely love it.. The only issue I had was trying to find the right plug which I will say it's closer to the tail behind the battery and also behind the fuse panels and once you find that plug just plug it in. Also beware the extra sticky faceplate they give you does not seem to hold well and kept falling off so used a lil rubber cement to install it and has held just fine since.. I want to note to make sure and disconnect the battery before hand as I didn't the first time and the bike would not start in threw an FI code. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and all is fine hope this helps somebody else that may happen to run into the same problem that I did.. Other then that I am 💯 totally happy with my purchase.

This is plug and play for my bike. No wire cutting, no calibration or programming needed. Works as advertised, but lags a little bit with the gear changing. Nice bright red display.!!!!!! UPDATE!!!!!!After using this for a while I'm still happy with my purchase, but the gear indicator does at times have some serious lag times, but even at its most worst lag it will eventually sync up with out your involvement. I have a feeling that this is more due to the ECM on the bike and not the gear indicator itself.Every day driving, is perfectly fine even if it's lagging a little bit from time to time. Rapid shifting, track days, forget it.

2006 M109 Boulevard here and this product worked like a charm! Install couldn't have been easier... had it hooked up and ready to ride in less than 1hr. Riding is so much more efficient and enjoyable with this simple addition.

I bought a cheap indicator for around 10 dollars, but it was a waste of time because it did not work at all. This one was more expensive, but it worked out of the box, and has been reliable every since I installed it. There is some lag in the display updates, but this has not been an issue to me. Every time I look at it, it tells me the right gear. The maximum lag between a shift and the display update is maybe ~2 seconds, but that is in rare situations. I'm not sure what causes the lag. Normally the display updates in less than 1 second.The installation is extremely easy. It is plug and play. I have had no issues, and there is no programming.Given a choice to ride with or without the gear indicator, I choose to have it, and it's not that expensive. It's very useful, I refer to it often when I'm riding.

Fantastic product. 2005 GSXR 600. Plugged right into the diagnostic connector perfectly, and worked right away exactly as it's supposed to. I have the clutch lever safety switch wires soldered together bypassing the saftey switch. The correct gear is instantly displayed whether upshifting or downshifting regardless of the engine RPM. A mod to consider if you don't like having to cycle the clutch lever to change the gear display indicator.

I ordered the green and its easy to read in 95% of lighting situations. It was very easy to install and I couldnt be happier with the price I paid compared to that very expensive other option. I love how it takes one less thing off my mind when Im focused on coming up to a sharp turn or a stop. Sure you can live without a gear indicator, but now that I have it, Im very pleased with it. Ill be putting one on every bike I own in the future. Very glad I got it!

Seldom do you get exactly what you pay for with online shopping. This does exactly what is says it does. No chopping wires and figuring out what wire goes where. No set up as it is a true plug and play item. Just mount it by your gauges with the provided cut to fit adhesive tape and run the cable back to your diagnostics plug on a Suzuki. That is it. Turn the key and ride. Slightest of delays between when you shift and when the gear number changes but it is only noticed when you are looking for it.

Easy to install, bright, easy to read display, with the perfect length wire for an SV650S. So far, about 90-95% of the time this thing is perfect. Occasionally it seems to confuse 1st and 2nd for a moment, but corrects after a second or two. I don't experience in other gears though. The included doublesided tape is cut to the exact size needed, but stays gummy/soft, so the indicator slightly twists in place. Upgraded tape or glue is needed.
