Stainless Steel Slicer Shredder Attachment for KitchenAid Stand Mixer, Salad Machine with Vegetable Slicer, Salad Maker, Grinding Powder, Cheese Grater by Cofun

Didn't know if it would work on my Kitchen Aid Mixer. It said so, but we all know the proof is in it actually doing what it says it does. I included a video of shredding pecorino cheese (which is a hard cheese). It shredded with ease as the video shows. I also shredded mozzarella cheese (which is a soft cheese) and it worked for that too. However, with the soft cheese occasionally it tends to pile up in the shredding barrell (not all the time) so I just use a fork to pull it out (while it is still running) and then it starts to flow into the bowl once again. Not really an issue for me. I have an official Kitchen Aid Mixer Shredder that I still use, but mainly use it if I am shredding 4+ cups of cheese as it is time consuming to attached, clean, etc. With this attachment it is easy to attached, use and clean. So, for simple uses like making fresh mozzarella for a pizza, etc. it is a great way to quickly and easily shred cheese (as I do not buy preshredded cheese) and clean.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT ! First off it is extraordinary quality, absolutely everything that can be metal in this is and it is good, thick, metal at that. It comes with a brush to clean which is convenient. I've used all the things for grating and slicing- food processor, mandolin, rotary grater, and regular old school graters. This is by far the over all best not only is it fast and easy, there's not much waste or residue at all and it is the easiest to clean out of all methods. Win, Win !

This is a great product! It takes a few tries to get the rhythm down. If you go too fast it binds up inside and the cheese is stuck. If you go too slow the block of cheese slides. But it is definitely more efficient than grating by hand! We sliced carrots with the slicer wheel and we bent it. It still works just a little thicker than before. It’s an easy set up and easy to wash. It’s small enough to store without issues. I don’t see any safety concerns. Don’t push too hard. It will shred 1 pound of cheese in about 1 minute if you cut the cheese into 2 inch logs and go at speed 2.

Today is my birthday and this is my gift to me. My first reaction upon opening the package was that this looks like a quality item. I had teetering between this and the cheaper version with the plastic see thru top where you feed the food thru. I'm so glad I went with this. It's slightly heavy and just feels durable. I tested the release button to replace shredder slicing blades and it worked flawlessly. I haven't even used it on my KitchenAid, I have birthday cake to finish eating but I plan to try the slicer tomorrow. If it performs less than expected, I'll update this review but I rally doubt I'll need to do that! They even included a brush for cleaning the nooks and crannies! How thoughtful is that? I'm happy with my birthday present!

I ordered this to replace the KitchenAid attachment because KA’s is made from plastic and the plastic housing cracked while grating parmesan because I exerted too much pressure I am guessing. Found this metal set and decided to give it a try and love it with one exception. When grating cheese, it tends to stay within the grater, rather than fall out into the catch dish. So you need to watch that if you don’t want a big ball of cheddar. Seems to be a thing more with softer cheeses, but it’s not a dealbreaker, just requires some attention.

I thought this was great until I tried to shred cheese using the grater for larger shredded cheese. It pops out when I try to shred. All other sizes work fine.

I have not used this for cheese yet. Shredding veggies and slicing veggies is what i use this for, and is is an upgrade from the original one from Kitchen Aid that had broken the plastic feeding chute. The stainless steel plunger fits nice and tight into the chute with a smooth push nothing slips past the plunger. I have used this on onions, beats, kohlrabi ,and carrots, I used the medium grater on onions and it did a very nice job of mincing them. I did not have any problems connecting the drive shaft to the Kitchen Aid mixer, so not sure why the other reviewers had problems. Maybe it's due to me having some with mechanical skills.

Habe den Gemüseschneider ausprobiert (Karotten) er hat sehr gut funktioniert. Ob und wie lange die einzelnen Teile scharf bleiben, kann ich noch nicht sagen. Preis Leistungs-Verhältnis ist okay. Alles ist in einen Karton schön verpackt,

Waardeloos, eerste maal gebruikt, kaas raspen, rasp helemaal ingedeukt. Onmiddellijk retour gezonden. Ik moest een ster geven, maar het is nog geen 1 ster waard.

Le produit est fonctionnel, reçu en très bon état. Le matal des râpes semble un peu fin mais ça fait très bien le travail. La fixation au robot se fait sans problème et tient bien. Aucun dysfonctionnement durant l’usage J’en suis satisfaite
