Trigger Switch Replacement for Dyson V10 V11 SV12 SV14 Vacuum Cleaner, Red ABS Switch Button

Dyson does not make this an easy replacement but by having patience and studying YouTube videos it is a very doable repair that can save you hundreds to replace when, most assuredly you lean your vacuum against a piece of furniture and the top heavy design and cheap plastic parts tip over and smash on the floor. I hope Dyson makes design changes that provide more durability.

This product (along with a Youtube instructional video) worked perfectly! My Dyson vacuum is back up and running. I originally thought mine was done for. But after watching a very helpful video on Youtube, I took it apart and fixed it myself. You definitely need the long torx head screwdriver that it comes with. Very useful! This inexpensive kit saved me from dropping another $700 right now on a new Dyson!

This was a pretty good kit for a Dyson v10 trigger replacement. The replacement triggers were pretty good quality but for as much work as it is to change them I wish it was even sturdier. It was a pretty straight forward job but I would recommend watching a YouTube video first. The t8 screwdriver that was included was nice for most of the job but towards the end you really need a longer or shorter one for a couple of screws. You have to come in at too much of an angle with the included one and could strip the screws pretty easily on this step. You will also need a narrow Phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers. I would recommend needle nosed pliers for a couple of steps that you have to maneuver the two wires through the housing.

Perfect option to fix my Dyson vacuum. Still had to source my own philips screw driver (already owned), but this coming with the torx driver was really nice.Aside from needing to disassemble 80% of the vacuum to replace the switch, it's a pretty easy repair. New switch fits well, works well, and seems like it's gonna last longer.Note: when reassembling, don't over-tighten the single screw on the back of the grip...going through the slotted hole on the battery pack. I found this needs to be left just tight enough to let the battery pack still move. Otherwise you encounter the vacuum not shutting off. Seems like there's no extra play in the button on the batter (actuated by this trigger). If the battery can't move a little it can get stuck too high up and then the trigger is still pushing even when it's fully off. I feel like I need a section view to really make this make sense. Sorry.

This came with the tools, which I was grateful for, because I'm not a person who has a ton of tools. I found a video on youtube that explained how to take my vacuum apart and replace this part. Afterwards, it was working like new.

Perfect, had almost everything you would need except for one specific screwdriver but otherwise amazing, again, saved us a ton of money as we didn't have to get a new vacuum
