I bought this aas Birthday gift so it will not be used for several weeks.

This egg cooker is easy to use, and you always get your eggs cooked the way you want them.

Was excited to have found one with different settings instead of using a measuring cup but this doesn’t work. Regardless of what setting you use, the eggs would be fully cooked. And it takes a very long time about 15min.

So I bought one of these at a thrift store quite a long time ago and I kind of laughed at myself thinking it was really a ridiculous gadget. Well, the joke was on me because I ended up loving it. I hate babysitting things on my stove. This type of egg cooker lets you walk away - it will let you know when it is done. I really do love hard boiled eggs - by themselves, in salads, as egg salad sandwiches, etc. And I make a lot of potato salad in the summer. It is my usual dish to bring to parties, too. So when I saw that I could do 14 eggs at once I was very happy about that. I do suggest you put the hole in each egg with the small pin. I found I never have eggs where the shell sticks anymore when I use this. This is one of those items that you either love it or not. Personally, I think it is a great addition to my kitchen and it will be used a lot. There are a lot of pieces to keep track of but I will only be using it for hard boiled eggs so I don't need everything.

I wouldn't bother with this sort of contraption with multiple parts to clean for myself, but for someone who cannot use a stove and loves eggs it's great. My older child has multiple intellectual and neurological disabilities and isn't allowed to use the stove. He loves hardboiled eggs and we have chickens so have plenty of eggs. This product provides a way he can make himself hard boiled eggs without using the stove. The poking of the shell is odd because just steaming on the stove I have never done that, and there is a lot to clean each time, but it does make a lot at once at least.

I got this because I really like poached eggs. It works pretty good for this. As for boiling eggs, I found the stove top method to be easier as far as parts involved and clean up. Also I find using it with distilled water to be inconvenient (for me).

This cooker gives you perfect eggs every time! No matter how you like them! Even the hard boiled eggs come out perfectly, and easy to peel without damaging the egg inside! One of my daughters loved hard boiled eggs, so this was perfect. I don’t have to guess if they are done, or overcook them. The timer beeps when they are ready, and they are good to go! You can also use it to steam veggies! I steamed corn and broccoli in it, and it comes out perfect each batch!
