I Love these speakers. I'm using them as wall speakers mounted on brackets. I'm not sure they're as good as the four Wharfedale's I had connected to my separates but having limited space and not wanting a load of wires everywhere I went for these and they sound great. Bluetooth is flawless with no lag and connection to my phone or bluetooth turntable is almost instant. Just make sure that you turn off your phone bluetooth when connecting to a deck as the speakers can't be connected to two things at the same time. Build quality is lovely and they have a good weight to them. The only negative in my view is having to connect the main speaker to the slave speaker via a din cable, but I guess you can't have everything. Highly recommended 👍

I've been listening and buying hifi for about 36 years now. Always amplifiers or av receivers with different speaker combinations including 5.1 I decided to sell all my equipment and get two pairs of Roxel onyx, one in black and one in oak. The oak is a lovely finish by the way. I'll get the minus points out the way first. Both speakers have hiss on all the inputs, so if you listen to quiet music, you might hear it. The input light can be annoying and it can't be dimmed. I put a piece of black rubber over mine sometimes. The grilles are really stiff and would be better on magnets. Now the positives, Roxel have included all the inputs you could possibly need , RCA for analogue, optical/coaxial better if you've got it and hdmi arc( set your TV to pcm, if you get no sound. Sound, wow I don't miss my seperates anymore. They sound so detailed, I'm hearing sounds I've never heard before. This is accompanied by a smooth sound with the right amount of bass for me personally. Bluetooth is very good, close to CD and I've not had any breakups in my 10 feet range. In fact as soon as I turn on the speakers, my phone starts playing. CDs via analogue RCA or optical/coaxial are just glorious. In fact I tried some Q Acoustics 2020 speakers with a Marantz mcr603 and the Roxel sound better. So they probably sound better than the Q Acoustics active speakers which are three times more. Hdmi arc movies are great, very good clarity clear dialogue and deep bass. I watched FLIGHT with Denzal Washington and the aircraft sounded amazing with deep bass. The Crow was really enjoyable, loud and clear. Spotify via hdmi is a delight, Suzanne Vega headshots and Roxy Music Same old scene sounded like reference recordings. If you've got the space, these speakers not only destroy soundbars but beat most budget speakers and amps. Make sure you space them out for the best sound. INCREDIBLE VALUE £100-£110, thanks Roxel.

Really really pleased with these ..

I bought these speakers for my TV entertainment system. I personally like a speaker to have a bit of length, & these speakers for the price & appearance & the light oak colour, are a nice addition along side my subwoofer. If you’re on a budget, these are a sensible purchase. Not quite 100 watts , more like 75 watts. The name ROXEL I actually had never heard off, so I took a chance spending £100 and I was pleasantly surprised. They look fantastic, they actually sound fantastic, even without a subwoofer, but do advise adding a subwoofer. Don’t expect a room shaking system, but if you are on a budget, you will not be disappointed, take the name ROXEL away & put a KEF label on, people will pay a lot more than £100. The best speakers in that price range.

Right so let’s get to the measurements, these speakers are rather big, 11 inches high -10 inches deep - 6.5 inches wide which makes them difficult, if not impossible, to place under, behind or in front of a television screen, well definitely mine. So what are they for? Well as a pair of ‘stand alone speakers’ they aren’t bad, as ‘book shelf speakers’ you’d need some big and sturdy bespoke bookshelves’ because at ten inches deep they certainly don’t fit a standard shelf. The light Oak cases are quite pleasant and fit in well with my oak units. Now onto the sound and features. Pros-Reasonable cost, not an unpleasant sound, in fact for most music types they work well enough but don’t expect crystal highs or lows at this price point. The optical connection works well enough, I’m running a Classic IPod through a Pure base unit with the supplied optical cable and the sound is more than acceptable. The USB Port does, again, work well enough, Bluetooth is proving to be an issue with a new MP3 player which knows the speakers are there but just won’t connect, probably a fault with the MP3 unit rather than the speakers as everything else connected instantly. The bass and treble are pretty basic and I’m being kind with that remark. EQ is only really relevant for use when connected to a TV. The remote works well and is a TV sized one so well done the manufacturer. HDMI Arc ! Well there is a port but no cable is supplied though loads of others I probably will never use are. Nice build quality. Fairly easy to use. Cons-Size of the speakers when trying to add onto a TV as an alternative to a sound bar or sound box, they are just too damn big to fit most tv stands which means buying a set of stands to put them on and the added cost would be a deal breaker for me. The speakers do lack depth and the treble is limited, as for the ‘virtual bass’ well least said soonest mended. Keep any USB down to a maximum of 32GB because once you get to the recommended maximum of 64GB everything comes to a juddering halt and remember that the remote won’t move tracks on or back for either a USB or like mine an IPod. I find the selection of lights informing me of what I’m trying to connect to confusing and after a very short period damned annoying ! A white that isn’t truly white for optical, blue for ARC that is very close in colour to Bluetooth and USB red that looks very very similar to the red off light. Oh and finally, if you’re looking to buy, pay for a full length speaker cable because the supplied one is a little too short for normal use. If I’m honest there is nothing that screams brilliant at me when turning these speakers on. They do a reasonable job for not a massive amount of money and a guest who popped in and has no interest in either music or tech did remark that they sounded okay at the end of an evening where he had to put up with loads of different music being played whilst I tested them, so maybe he’s the exact market for these sorts of speakers !

If you just want great sound at a good price then you can't go wrong with these. The treble is clear and crisp and there is plenty of bass. These speakers define each instrument and voice excellently. So far I have found that I don't need to stray too far from original recording settings to get the sound I want. I have listened to speakers costing about three times as much and can honestly say that these do the same job for me. I suppose it depends somewhat on ones hearing but I think mine is reasonable. I don't like the LED display; it is just too bright for my taste and not easy to tell some of the settings from each other. However that is probably a matter of opinion. The 3m cable to the passive speaker is used as a selling point but I found this rather too short for how I want to place them. I have only used them on RCA so far and found that they do not go to "standby" when not in use. The remote is rather basic. It will select the input and adjust volume but then there seems little need to set very much. It does have a virtual bass feature which is very punchy. However I prefer the sound without that. They came with imo rather nice chrome feet that are not shown in some of the sales pictures. All in all an absolute bargain for wonderful sound quality.

Das sind bis jetzt meine besten Aktivboxen. Der Sound ist klar und kraftvoll. Auch die Sprache kommt deutlich rüber. Die mögliche Lautstärke für die kleinen Boxen ist sehr hoch und das ohne qualitative Mängel in der Übertragung. Die individuelle Reglung von Höhen und Bass ist sehr gut. Was man sich noch wünschen könnte, ist eine Balancereglung, damit die Lautstärke auch bei nicht optimaler Aufstellung richtig ist. Mit der FB können einige wenige Parameter verändert werden. Auch eine direkte Wiedergabe von Musikdateien vom USB Stick und eine Bluetoothverbindung sind möglich. Klar, das Netzteil hat einen Stecker der nicht in unser deutsches Netz passt. So muß man einen Adapter zusätzlich kaufen, das sollte noch verbessert werden, aber dafür ziehe ich keinen Stern von den sonst sehr guten Boxen ab.

Je confirme elles sont impressionnantes, pour le prix c'est magnifique. Utilisation pour écoute de musique en BT. J'ai une paire d'enceintes Advance Zeneo, elles sont meilleures bien sûr, plus puissantes et complétement sans fil, mais presque 10 fois plus chères ! Dommage qu'il faille encore un câble entre les deux enceintes. Je confirme qu'il faut bien un adaptateur pour utilisation en France (c'est dingue cette histoire, depuis le temps que ça a été signalé dans les commentaires...)

Kleine Brüllwürfel mit vielen Anschlüssen, genau richtig für den Sohnemann. Die offizielle HIFI Norm wird sicherlich erfüllt aber audiophile Ansprüche sollte man nicht haben, dafür sind die Boxen auch nicht konzeptionell gedacht. Achtung es wird ein Stromadapter von UK auf DE benötigt.
