Do you have to use an app to convert Spotify to an MP3 format to use?

You should be able to use right from the Spotify app. I’m not on Spotify so I’m not 100% sure but since it connects via Bluetooth, anything I bring up on my phone, plays on the earphones. Sorry I don’t have a more specific answer.

Does it support soundcloud and/or apple music?

Playlist + and H2O Audio Pro Series devices, will record and load ANY content that you can play over a Bluetooth connection and save to the Pro series device as an Mp3 file. You can use the H2O Audio App to load the audio from your streaming App of choice. You can then manage the file via the H2O Audio App. You can load from any Bluetooth source device, (Phone, Watch, iPad, Tablet or Computer).

Brilliant headphones

Great headphones for swimming and the gym . Little bit large around the back of the head . But quality and durability is great.I have a spare charger cable from the tri multisport so I can always charge my headphones in the car to ensure I am always ready to listen to my pod player.

Mp3 mode for swimming, clunky to wear. Sound very average

Bluetooth only works above water fyi. Feel quite clunky to wear, Aftershokz are a better product which I also own. MP3 can be loaded to internal memory for swimming, but one has to convert audio to MP3 first.
