Viper 4706v 2-Way LCD Remote Start System (Not Alarm Or Security)

I asked for a remote start for my birthday, we called around to the local places and best buy. The closest in price was a 1-way with 2 remotes. We decided to take the project on ourselves. (by that i mean my husband did everything)My husband was able to install this for our Avalanche, but did need to buy Directed Electronics XpressKit DBALL2 Databus All Combo Bypass Module. He has never installed a remote start and was able to get it done in an afternoon. He did say that next time, he'd rather go to work for a couple of hours and pay someone to do the install, which can be done for about $100 at Best Buy. Anyway, he was able to do it and it works great. I love all the features this offers and again, it's the best priced 2way we could find.

Installing in a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze ECO using DBALL2, getting 6x flashing red which apparently indicates " orange/black wire not detected". I'm using an "OBDTHDGM1 GM OBD2 Plug & Play T-Harness" so I thought this would not be an issue. What am I doing wrong, wrong harness or ? It has been three years and it is still working in my 2017 Toyota Camry.

Works but this alarm has no sensors only to unlock and lock car no security system

This was a GREAT buy, I am very happy with this product. Love the distance that I can arm/disarm the system. Nice to be able to pre-heat my vehicle.

Viper product support is horrible in that it is geared such that the product must be professionally installed. This would be fine if you can find an installer who will install a product you did not purchase from them. Good luck with that!

This is a necessity! My 2004 Ford Ranger got broken into and with this product I now have peace of mind. It is a must have for all car owners who do not have a security system already.

This will work in 99% of vehicles made in the last 25 years.

I enjoy the truck cool in summer & warm in winter. About one year now & still works fine

This model does not include the interface module that is needed for install. The cost for me to have installed into my husband's car would be an extra $600 plus for the interface and labour. Blowing my budget big time. Need to return. 😢
