I use this on my jeep , and it works extremely well and doesn’t wash off .. the first time you use it it takes about 5 or 6 cans to do inside all the doors and every square inch underneath.. then after that ya just grab like 2 cans before every winter and touch up spots if need be .. excellent product ..

I have used fluid film for years now and love it. All previous versions of this product were clear, this one is gloss black. It looks like and shiny undercoating in a way. I was surprised, and sprayed some onto a plastic bag as shown in my photo to see what it looks like. Tar like but sprays easily trough the plastic tube that attaches to the can. Shake very well and take care not to get it on anything else. Wear gloves and long sleeves. If it drips onto the concrete it will stain. So all of this warning you to be careful but how does it actually work? Well, very well indeed. I have had some on my 2016 Tacoma for 7 years now and no rust on the frame. I do re-applications prior to winter on easy to reach spots, but some of the areas that are not easy to get at have the same 7 years old application and still no rust, even in harsh salt contaminated winters. My 2nd phot shows what the black fluid film looks like when applied to the frame, it stays glossy and stays wet and tacky, does not really dry at all, so be judicious when you apply it. If you touch it, well then you have it on your cloths or hands. I keep a can of spray brake cleaner handy when I use it for easy clean-off on spots you do not want it. Also come with a long reach hose for putting it into body panels and floor boards. Pop out the plastic plugs and apply it. Just make sure you do not cover anything that may need routine servicing. I prefer the clear product to this black stuff, both do the job, but this seems a bit more on the messy side.

It’s never a good time when in the market for this type of product. But this stuff does the trick. Comes with all the stuff you need apart from the grinder and wire brushes your need to get to the point of using this product. But it does provide long tube hoses. So you can get down and into the frame rails. Keep in mind this doesn’t convert rust into solid metal. You're likely to reveal parts that could likely be rust all the way thru. Remove as much rust as you can with a wire brush and brush on drill and grinder. Before apply this stuff. You can spray over top of rust it hopes it’s gonna convert it underneath. Rust will continue to eat. And it will eat thru any paint applied it no time at all. This stuff has a great finish black to it. But you want to make it look real good steel it over top for a dope finish. But this kit is still an amazing product applies good. Goes on thick. You will need a couple kits if your looking to do the whole underneath
