Not bad
Tbh I didn't expect too much from this item. However it is not bad at all.An app is easy to install and use. It needs a permission to your storage and camera as you can take photos and videos through this app and it needs permission to your location for some reason which I think is unnecessary to know where I clean my ears (therefore it is 4 stars).Live view on your phone is clear with acceptable resolution. Due to the small dimensions of the camera you won't get full HD HDR crisp and clean image, however it is good enough to see enough dirt and other things that you usually don't see. Camera has fixed focus so your item or thing you want to see needs to be at certain distance from camera. The blue tip (you get few extra tips) to take the ear wax out determine that focus distance so to make things in focus you just need to touch an item with it and it will be In focus. As much as it is quite useful for ears it is also good toy for kids and adults to learn about tiny little details of our world.

So I ordered this for a slightly different use to its intended one.Iâve recently had 2 cartilage piercings which are difficult to see so thought this would be the perfect tool.I think the camera is just OK. It doesnât give the clearest of images but good enough for you to see what youâre doing. It doesnât cause any discomfort or pain whilst using it but can be tricky to navigate. As others have mentioned, the scoop is too short. It doesnât allow you to go far enough into the ear.For ÂŁ9.99 itâs a good price. Perfect for what I needed it for so canât complain.

Good camera and stable app
Having tried another brand's otoscope and app I was sceptial whether this make would fare any better.I pleased to say it does. The instructions were easy enough to follow and they worked. I was impressed by the video and image capture options in the app. Also the otoscope battery level is displayed in the app.I would recommend that you spend a while familiarising yourself with manouevering the otoscope and how close/far objects are on screen compared with the reality. What looks like a hugely satisfying piece of wax usually ends up being barely visible when you remove it. I'd also check what view feels more logical to you. You can switch ear modes (L & R). I found initially I could only really navigate properly in right ear mode regardless of the ear I was inspecting but after a while it became easier. Occasionally the view gets obscured by hairs as you move around which can be disconcerting but that's not the product's fault.I'd also recommend taking it easy. Don't go too far too quickly. Make sure you can easily understand what you're seeing and what moving up, down, left, right and different angles will translate to on the screen. If you don't understand it straight away then take it really slowly. If you do see an obstruction it's worth getting a doctor's opinion on syringing your ears before you start mining operations! If you see what looks like an opaque window - that's the drum, you want to stay well away from it.The end of the otoscope heats up quite quickly, much quicker than the other make i tried. It doesn't burn but some won't like it.The scoop is about the same length as the other make I tried but unlike the other make which had a number of different tools this make only has the one scoop and six spare silicon covers. The scoop pushes onto the end of the otoscope whereas the other make screwed onto the scope. The advantage of the push on scoop is that you can rotate it to a different position if you find it's obscuring your view. All in all I was impressed with the app, found the video quality very clear and was pleased with the battery life. I'd like to see some more tools but for what you get the price is good. The other criticism is the power button is on the base next to the charge port and so it's tiny.

Impressive bit of kit, but something to use with care.
I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much given the price of this bit of kit, but I was pleasantly surprised with the ear camera from NATON.To start with, the setup process was simple - download the app from your respective app store, turn on the camera, connect your phone or tablet to the WiFi network broadcast from the camera and open the app - it's that simple. The App did want to know my location for some strange reason, but I denied that access when asked and everything still works as it should. The camera image is amazingly clear and does a superb job of magnifying the inside of your ear. There are also LED's surrounding the tiny camera lens which illuminate the ear meaning the image quality is clear and sharp. There was also zero latency between the camera movement and image displayed which is a huge bonus for a device such as this. What i found particularly good with the app is that is has a 'left ear' & 'right ear' button which effectively flips the image displayed on screen so that navigating the camera is more logical. If you don't use this feature in the app, it's surprisingly difficult to direct the camera accurately as the movement of the camera has the opposite movement on screen.Within just a few minutes of using the device, I was able to clear a lot of wax from my ears and I really noticed the difference in my hearing thereafter. That said however, we all know how sensitive ears are so this device must be used carefully otherwise damage could no doubt be caused. I highly recommend sitting on a firm surface when using the camera so that your body remains as steady as possible. Also, It should only be used by adults.I'm still shocked at just how good this device is, and for less than a tenner it's a must buy.
