R-026: CYD 3.9FT(1.2m) AC Power Cord: £13.99I needed another power plug for my laptop and this is and idea product. I have been using it for the last month with no issues at all. Works perfectly.It is a 2-pack so I even have a spare to leave elsewhere for when I transport my laptop to another house. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it.Priced at £13.99 at the time of this review, I would have rate this a good value for money.

I deducted a star because they come with 13 amp fuses which are excessive for the purpose it is is advertised for ie a lap top power supply. However, it is easy to change this to a 5 or 3 amp without disassembling the plug because of the removable fuse compartment.

The plug & cable are robust and will do their job for some considerable time. The item comes with a two year guarantee that I doubt any of us will ever have to call upon.The end connection is the correct C5 one for a computer’s Power Supply Unit & for many other things.It’s 3m longThe [fused] plug is a proper UK one and is marked 250V 13A as expected.The cable is marked 0.75mm2 [i.e. max 6A, 1.4KW], max 300/500V as is typical. - My own desktop computer consumes only 180W and that is not particularly untypical. - This power cord is intended for use with computers and monitors and its cable is not suitable for a kettle [commonly 2kW, 3kW] unless it is an unusually low power kettle such as a 1kW “travel kettle”. - If your intended use of this item is at all non-standard, you can check the maximum recommended current for 0.75mm2 “flex” by searching for that type of cable with an online seller that you trust, with multiple online sellers or with established electrical institutions.I’m rather baffled by the claim of “Multiple intelligent protection mechanisms” because there are no intelligent components in this power cord.The product page’s references to “125V” seem to be just editing errors. The markings on the plug & cable are what matters.

Good quality strong cables with firm fit into my laptop power supply. The fuse can be easily changed via the latch underneath the plug but for my needs the 13A one was fine. Not much else to say other than these are good quality cables and work perfectly for my laptop. I have used the other for my portable kettle!

Clover leaf/Mickey Mouse power cables, do exactly as describe. Feel well made and not cheap like some do. Happily using this for my laptop power supply

I have a Windows laptop power supply and I’d recently misplaced its power cable for the power supply. One of these power cables replaced my misplaced one perfectly and it does not feel any different to the one I’d misplaced.The construction is very strong on these cables and I have no worries about wear and tear over time.Best bit, there are three of them. So I have a couple spare for the next time I misplace (lose) the cable on my Chromebook power supply, which I inevitably will do at some point :)

First thing I noticed is that the product description describes it as compatible to operate at 125v? I checked when it arrived and it will operate at 300/500v as it says on the cable itself. I can only assume that the original description was intended for ones with a European plug on them? No matter, it appears all is well for UK, and the plug fitted is correct for the UK too.So they're clover leaf mains power cables (product says "mickey mouse" which some might call the shape of the plug end) and they work fine.Certainly very long compared to the standard ones you tend to get with stuff like laptops and TVs etc, and at the listed 9 foot long, yep, they're long.I needed some of these as our outlets are all around the place, never where you really need them! These cables mean I can actually have my laptop where I need it, thus doing stuff like skype meetings I can set up where I need with minimal messing about with extensions and such.
