A great kit highly detailed model from desert storm

Airfix seemed to have got their act together. The pieces go together well. The instructions still seem a bit basic and there can be confusing between the paint numbers (for internal parts) and part numbers.

This is a good model of an immediate post World War Two aircraft which I will enjoy building. Alas, it was not as good as some of the late WWII aircraft, such as the United States Thunderbolt and especially the German Me 262 Swable/Swallow.

OK, I've built other models from this tool before so this is just "what's changed?" We now have a No 4 CFS red, white and grey No1 scheme (box art) and a "The Navy" machine from Hot Shots! [DVD ] as the No2 scheme. You'll probably guess from the title that this is why I bought the kit. Compared with earlier releases, there's a little flash on the underside centrepiece for the wheels down option and some of the ejector pin marks need a quick wipe with sandpaper. So it's not an ideal first kit but most people should be able to get a good result. Be user to follow the instructions when they say to fit the intake lips before the inner duct sides/rear cockpit side panels (clear when you see the instructions), and if you're doing the No2 scheme you may need to fill some of the slipper tank decals. Also, on this scheme you're not going to decal it in one session because the 16 "rocket ports" on the tank fronts are represented (correctly) by 16 separate decals.

These New Airfix kits are really nice, the fit of the parts is really good. Do take a bit of care with the cockpit sidewalls ,the cockpit itself is nicely detailed, with decals for the instrumentation although no pilot is supplied. Don't forget to open the underfuselage holes for the belly tank(like I did). Be careful separating the undercarriage parts from the sprues as some of the pieces are quite delicate, they are, however, sturdy enough to support the airframe. The whole airframe goes together quite nicely, with minimal use of filler, but be careful with aligning the tail planes. Two colour schemes are provided for and there is a separate guide showing the position of the stencilling. I gave this five stars because I enjoyed the building of this kit and I am pleased with the end result.

組み立てはとくに問題無いですね。 まあ、エアフィックスだからこんなもんじゃないかと。（これがタミヤとかハセガワの製品だったらクレームつける人もいるかも） あとけっこうマイナーな機体なので資料を探すのは大変かも。 たぶんキットは偵察型の機体なので機首のカメラ部分（？）と機体下面の電子機器用（？）のふくらみは再現されてますが、翼下のパイロンやミサイルなどのアクセサリーパーツはありません。

Pocas piezas, pero con gran detalle. Los paneles están bien grabados y las decals son resistentes y bien impresas. Sólo se debe tener mucho cuidado al armar la nariz, ya que debes ponerle un buen contrapeso (el instructivo dice 20 gramos) y el espacio para hacerlo es muy pequeño. Fuera de esto, es un modelo ideal para los que inician.
