Excellent, well made, well documented product. My only comment otherwise is that I needed to add extra padding on top of all the supplied inserts in the top element to get a vertical edge as my skirting boards are particularly deep.

Good concept but there is nothing more frustrating than products designed to allegedly to overcome a problem but hasn’t done the necessary research or collaboration with those who have caused sais problem. Turns out house builders don’t believe in using “standard” thickness skirting, or indeed flat fronted skirting that enables this product to fit safely for stair gate to be fixed to.Unfortunately, this had to be returned as couldn’t be used.For context, we have a relatively new build home… this was simply not useable.Only gave 2 stars as the concept is good but execution poor.

Absolutely awful product, the wood is poor quality and has actually split just screwing in the tiny cover plate screw, wood not painted properly, poor fit together, as previous reviewer the spacer is too small for the skirting board. At £20 this is disgraceful.

We all fit stair gates etc to walls with skirting boards etc. If you are good at DIY then fine. This saves you a lot of bother, it is well designed and made and very easy to fit. I can do DIY but this saves a lot of effort and is well finished. Possibly a Tad expensive for what it is, but if you need something quick and easy this is the bizz.

Good idea. Rubbish & cheap product

This kit claims to work with skirting that is up to 2.3cm deep. However the spacer provided with the kit is only 1.9cm deep, so useless for any skirting deeper than 1.8cm. I bought two kits and both were the same. No good at all for what they claim.

Easy to install and looks great.
