My children ruined the pillow that came with my hanging egg chair. I had purchased a replacement over a year ago, but it was so thin and flat it was barely a pillow. This item came with extremely vacuum sealed. After I broke apart the foam pieces in the actual cushion, I threw it in the dryer on low heat. This fluffed it up beautifully! I don’t think it would be so fluffy from just hand massaging it as suggested. I had no problems getting the cover on, and now I have a very comfortable cushion for my chair. The only con is the colors of the cover. I wish they offered plain colors instead of only patterns. The pattern isn’t really my taste, nor does it really go with my decor.

Do not be discouraged by how small this is when it arrives. It’s going to be crammed in a tiny zipper bag. You have to take it out and fluff it. Then you leave it alone. Come back in 10 or 15 minutes, and fluff it again. Do this a couple times and it’ll be fully expanded. There are instructions that come with it, use them. It is full of memory foam pieces. Memory foam tends to have a smell at first. iff this is an issue for you, you should probably let the insert air out before putting it inside the pillow case. This is literally the most comfortable meditation pillow I’ve ever used. My back and my hips do not hurt after using it and I have had hip problems in the past. I use the pillow for playing my sound bowls as well as meditation and it’s been great. I will probably buy more when I have more space to include other people in my practice.

It was a little complicated to pull the stuffing apart. I left it alone for 30 min and when I came back to was much easier. Great thickness and size. Colors are vibrant as well.
