This was bought as a present to my son and I am told it is brilliant hence 5 star.

Just as good as other more expensive branded. But with less reach
I have used festool and dewalt chopsaws that cost 3 times the price and this hild up fine. If you don't need the extra reach. Then I wouldnt bother with spending the extra cash. Just get a really good blade. It cut through 80mm beach easily enough.

Accuracy not good, saw dust coming out even with hoover, saw dust is covering laser you need to clean all the time,saw engine speed feels less than 5000/ min ,

Good saw only fault is safety button in top comes out lost it I made another of wood so happy days 😁

Very good saw
I have used it a little bit and find it very good. I did buy a Dewalt blade for rough cuts, which is the only blade I have used in it.

Versatile, light, fast and easy to set and use.
I use this saw mostly for framing work. I like the ease changing mitre/bevel. The laser is a big plus and the LED light when I need it. The saw is light weight and easy to move around. I can easily use it on a stand or on the floor. The slow start and brake is a great safety feature. Also, it doesn't make a lot of sawdust, the collector gets most of it. I have used a few Makita saws over the years that weren't mine and that is what motivated me to buy this model. Plus the cost was reasonable as well. Even though I use it mostly for framing, I like how it will smoothly cut into 2 X 4s etc. It's a Makita! Of course I recommend this saw.
