Gelert Solid Fuel Stove

Now, I would not want to be cooking a four course meal over multiple days on one of these but that is not the point. It is very small, clean and self contained. Folds flat and fits pretty much anywhere. Weighs next to nothing. In use you really need to use about 4 tabs of the hexamine fuel and have a pot that fits the stand (although the sides can be folded in a bit for smaller ones) - an army surplus mess tin is ideal. Perfect for heating a tin of something or a packet meal. Best in non-windy conditions. I always take one when motorcycle touring as a backup to not finding a restaurant, grab a can of 'something' from the supermarket, some bread and wine and you are good to go! Amazing little store. Very compact and convenient for cooking while camping. Was placed inside open tin box to protect from wind and worked perfectly. Uses small fuel tablets which burn with an intense heat.

this was quite good. I used it when I was at download festival last year and it works really well. the only trouble is that the hexi fuel blocks you get are so small and run out so quickly it takes basically all you get to heat one meal, and I had to go buy more at the festival. so id suggest you buy more before you go out and need to use it. otherwise, it works like its meant to.

Light & easy to pack.Purchased 2 for festivals this year. The fuel tabs with it are excellent, and i purchased more similar ones too - although not needed because I could actually cook a can of beans (and similar) on one tablet (max 2 if windy) (even though they are tiny).Kept and used again for 2nd festival this year.

Cheap & cheerful 'guaranteed' to work camping stove.Does the job and worked fine when it was needed in winter, when gas cartridge stoves were useless due to low temperatures which is exactly what i bought it for.I've had these before, and this is no different, except this one's fuel tablets seemed to blacken cookware more than expected?I'd happily buy again if i was stupid enough to camp in winter again....

I should have checked it's size - it is a tiny little thing, "compact" yes.It arrived perfectly packaged and promptly however without any whitefuel tablets as shown, although it was to be included - most disappointed.What did I expect for One Pound?

Great product. Strong and good value, this is a great alternative to gas burners. Ideal for festivals!

Bought one of these for a festival and now would'nt be without it when i go camping. It has two positions and can fit a canteen cup or a mess tin or even a small frying pan. Folds up nicely into small square and can fit your solid fuel tablets inside. Great bit of kit.
