My kid loves this bed. It looks great and has held up so far. It took two of us a little more than an hour to build.The bed slats are cylindrical rods. I was initially concerned that would be uncomfortable but has been okay. It’s a little creaky. The trundle doesn’t have a real handle to pull it out which is a little annoying. Our biggest issue is that the rear wheels on the trundle have a lock that catches on our looped style carpet and makes it hard to pull out and has torn up the carpet badly. I custom ordered a plastic mat like the kind you put under a desk chair and I’m hoping that helps. But that’s a huge bummer. We also considered swapping out the wheels for ones without locks.

The boxes came a few days apart but, thankfully, matched each other to make a complete bed. It was very difficult to assemble, the trundle is beyond frustrating to use & it’s not what I ordered. However, the metal will be difficult for my kids to destroy and it’s very attractive. Did I mention the trundle is a huge pain to use?! If I could get this bed out of the room in one piece I’d sell it and get what I actually wanted in the first place.
