Info you may find helpful
I bought two of these to help me keep a handle on my twins. Below are are some observations I've made.1. SizingI started using these when my twins began walking (in opposite directions). They weighed about 20 pounds at the time, and the harness adjusts just fine for their size. I haven't tried it on a larger child. The straps adjust around the ribs and over the shoulders, as shown in the picture. The package insert lists sizing as:Waist: 11.8" to 27.5"Shoulder Straps: 9.8" to 17.7"Anchoring straps: 3.9" to 9.8" (I think this refers to the "leash" and the small straps for attaching harness to a chair)2. How it attaches to your childIt is very easy to put on the child, even if the child is wiggling. It does NOT go over the head. Just slip arms into the giant space between the shoulder straps and rib strap and clip the rib strap together. What you can't see in the picture . . . the strap that fits around the ribs clips in the back with a standard plastic piece, much like the buckle on a stroller.3. Straps, straps, and more strapsThe rib strap has a clip on each side, just behind where the child's arms hang down. This clip allows you to attach different "anchoring" straps to the harness. One strap is a single piece, about 2 feet long, both ends of which clip into the rib strap and forms the "leash" to which the parent holds. This is the part you see modeled on the child in the picture.Alternatively, you can clip in a small strap on each side. These small straps are only a few inches long and loop around something (like a chair slat or shopping cart bar). This configuration allows very little wiggle room. These are handy for belting a child into a standard dining chair, into a shopping cart seat when the cart's buckles are missing (or if you have a Houdini that can escape the shopping cart straps), or into the buggy part of the cart if your kid likes to stand up but not fall out of the cart!4. LikesEasy to put onEasy to adjustLightweightCompact and easy to slip into your purse (in contrast to the stuffed animal backpack type harnesses)Easy to control a toddler with balanced pull on the child--I don't worry about yanking the kid's arm off, choking her, or knocking her down.5. DislikesMy main gripe is how short the leash is! Your child can't go more than 6 inches away before she is pulling at the straps. I don't know if this is due to my height (5'8") or my child's height (28")?? I ended up attaching a second all-purpose strap to the leash to give my child more space, and it works just fine.Consider a small bag to store everything in when not in use, otherwise the straps get tangled up with the other items in your purse.

Good safety harness at a great price
My friend gave me her daughter's old high chair, so old that the manufacturer no longer makes replacement parts for it and it was missing the safety straps. I had a feeling my baby would definitely be needing some type of safety harness, a feeling which has now been proven as a definite fact. I caught him trying to stand up in the chair! So I went to Amazon and found these nifty Mork suspenders safety harness. When baby tried to stand up in the chair again he was stopped by this harness, although I had to shorten the straps which attach it to the chair. This harness is fully adjustable on all points, and in addition to being a high chair strap it can also be used as a harness to "walk" your baby with, which we haven't tried yet. This thing works great as a high chair strap though, and for the price that alone it is well worth the purchase. Also, I used clothes pins to attach it to the chair back.

Makes my life easier as a parent
This review is long overdue. This may be the best purchase I've made as a parent - I use it least once a week. I have two, one for each kid. I've used it to create a high chair out of a regular chair, secured a child in a restaurant high chair (which typically has a broken seat belt), secured a child in a shopping cart (because those seat belts are a joke to my child), and used it as a walking helper (and to keep my runner close at hand). I've had multiple parents ask where they can get one because it is just so handy. It's very easy to use and it folds up compactly. My only caveat (which doesn't take away from my love of the product) is that the "handle" to use when the child is walking is way too short. I adapt it by adding one of the elastic child safety straps that normally slides on their wrist (and my kids hate!) to add some extra length on the existing handle and also let's me slide it on my own wrist making it more secure.I seriously love this thing! It makes shopping trips so much easier because I know my little guy is safely secured in the cart - there is simply no way for him to slide out of it or detach it from the cart.

item is okay and will work
this product fits my 20 lb 13 month old daughter and is adjustable to be a little bigger or smaller. it is kind of an uncomfortable looking harness though and very plain nearing unattractive. I hate to be negative because in all honesty the product does what it claims, I just personally don't like it. I didn't expect to love it, but it's a bit worse than I had hoped :) The leash is kind of like a handbag or purse handle and my daughter gets wrapped up in it trying to get the harness off because it is attached to both sides in the back. sure you could probably detach one side, but then she is attached at the side still not the center which makes me kind of uncomfortable. i will probably use this as a spare in my car, and buy a more expensive one like I should've done in the first place.

Great to keep baby safe in the cart
This has saved my toddler and I from so many potential mishaps. She will not sit down in a shopping cart or in a high chair at a restaurant. his harness forces her to sit so she can't fall out. I keep it a bit loose so she can move around and kneel in the cart, but not fall out. The rainbow colored strap has come in handy for this because people see the bright colors and stop themselves from freaking out about my baby standing up. They can see that she has a harness on. I deducted one star because the leash that attaches to the back of this is very short. I don't intend to use it as a walking harness, but if I did, I'd need a longer leash.

Not for tall moms or short kids...
Pictured in black and came in a horrible rainbow print. Not something I would have purchased for my son. I was aggravated that it came in that color but by the time it arrived I didn't have time to send it back and get a new one, took this on vacation and I can say it is secure but unless you are around 5' it's going to be uncomfortable to walk the kiddo.. I'm 5'9 with a toddler under 3ft, I ended up having to attach a real dog leash to the back of the harness to walk with him without being hunched over ..
