This ankle ice pack was worth every penny and then some of the $8 I paid. The shape wraps nicely around my ankle for good coverage, it has a smooth side and a velour side, the smooth is a little more direct cold and the velour side provides a little "dampening" of the cold. The elastic strap works well to hold it in place, I can even walk around with it on. It took me a day or two to realize the end of the strap has velcro on both sides so that you can wear this smooth side or velour side in or our and the strap will work either way As for the size, I have a tendency to over ice and from what I understand, more than 20 minutes can start to work against you. With this pack, I get cooling for about 20 minutes before it has run out of cooling. This is a great timer for me.

Of all the ankle wraps/cool packs I tried for my sprained ankle, this one works the best. While it's a bit fiddly to put on, an advantage is that it goes over the top of the foot, allowing me to walk around my apartment while wearing it. I would recommend it.

I have used it many times and it has lasted very well. I recommend it!
