I didn't like it at first...now I LOVE it!
I got frustrated when I first tried this keyboard - seemed like too much of a learning curve as my fingers kept hitting the wrong key...so much so I even started a return ticket. But a friend told me to stick with it and my fingers would learn the new set up quickly...and she was right! I can feel the difference in the ergonomic design - at the end of a day of writing, I used to have wrist and finger joint discomfort - that has shifted immensely! Glad I stuck with it!

Love it, great customer service
Have used this for close to a whole year (bought 9 July 2023), and this is way enough time to give a fair review as I really love it.Had developed so much wrist pain from using my MacBook keyboard and trackpad. This keyboard is large enough (as in wide), which I find really important – no point getting ergonomic layout in a narrow-width keyboard because your hand and wrist position still won't be as natural (unless you're tiny, or a kid?). The wrist pad is comfortable, has not flaked, misshapen, flattened or degraded in any way, or become loose from the main keyboard. That was one of my key concerns.The price was absolutely the best too, for a backlit keyboard with a number pad. And as a Mac user, it just felt satisfying that finally, a brand names the Command and Option key "correctly". It's a me problem but I really, really hate seeing the Option key named as Alt in some other brands with nearly identical designs (what's so difficult about naming the key correctly if you're bothering to do it for WIn/Mac??).It's a membrane keyboard so Mac users will be very used to the quiet, low-profile key typing. The touch sensitivity is good. I personally do not get why some buyers review this keyboard negatively because they are used to a mechanical keyboard and do not like the feel – seems mental that they fault something for working perfectly how it is built to because they are not used to it.I use it for up to 12 hours a day with lots of typing five days a week, so this has really been a good run. I like that there is enough space between keys to run a wet wipe over to keep it clean, and it does not have a static problem at all in terms of attracting dust.I was really not a fan of the garish orange keys for 3 device switching, and that made me shop around quite a while before I came back to ProtoArc because it checked all the other boxes for me. I also do not like the 3 keys' placement above the number pad and next to the Delete key. As a touch typist I found that the lack of gap between those 3 function keys meant that I had to always pause to mentally shift down a row. It was common to hit the orange keys or the Num switch key instead of hitting Delete or the number keys on the number pad where I thought I was.Another downside is that the keyboard takes a few seconds to wake. And this gets longer when the battery level is lower. So I found that it can be 2 seconds when well charged, and more than 5 if low.That said, switching between 3 devices is a breeze. The dongle that is held magnetically underneath in a little notch does not fall out easily at all, another good point.And the battery life is really good. Come to think of it, I've only charged it 3 times the entire year!! The reason why I mention the wake lag is because the battery is now currently a bit low so I've been noticing it a bit more of late. Time for the 4th charge BUT... ... ... ...TRAGICALLY, on 3 July 2024 my N key broke. Specifically, the tiny hinge pin in the key holding the scissor switch component broke. The top of the key pops off the keyboard.As it was still under warranty (HUGE THANKS BE TO GOD, I would need massive anger management therapy if this happened a few days past the warranty period), Protoarc gave me a 30% refund. I was heartbroken that I was not able to buy or be sent a replacement key or scissor switch instead, which I would have taken over the refund in a heartbeat because they rest of the keyboard is perfectly functional and I am so used to it.I just saw from another review too that someone also had the wider keys breaking. While I don't know if we have the exact same issue, it seems like these wider keys (the N key on this keyboard is the size of the Tab and Delete buttons) are problematic because that user also had similar wide keys breaking.It's really a shame that these are points of failure, and would highly suggest ProtoArc gets its manufacturer to provide spare scissor switches or hinges so that ProtoArc can send them to buyers. Especially during the warranty period. It would be cheaper than issuing a 30% refund or full refund to less tolerant customers who are not as emotionally attached to their keyboards as I am.I am still trying to find a replacement N key even though the company can't send me one not only because I love it, but it is the more sustainable thing to do than tossing the whole thing because of 1 key!

Excellent design, only worked for 2-3 months.
Love the design and the backlit keys, and the ergonomics, and even was able to get used to the keyboard layout. Really enjoyed the ability to connect to both my work laptop, personal laptop, and TV.However, started to lose key presses (no matter what its conected to) after the first month (fixed by turn off, wait 2sec, turn on). At first the kb reset fixed for days, then slowly the fix lasted less and less time, until 3 months in, it only lasts an hour, which makes this device completely not worth the money and has incurred countless frustration points along the way to the point I dont want to ever see the ProtoArc logo ever again. There's only so many times you can have a kb failure during a presentation or while gaming before the brand faith turns to resentment and hatred.For the price, at 2-5x the price of competitor bt keyboards, I expected a pretty solid device; but it turned out to be Trash after only 2.5 months.

Inconsistent Quality
I LOVE this keyboard. The first one I bought was amazing. The full charge would last several months, even with the backlights on all the time. Keys were quiet and low profile like a laptop. The ergonomics are natural.....I just adored it! Then my cat jumped up on my desk just as I was moving my coffee from my mouth to the side table....and coffee went EVERYWHERE....and ruined my precious keyboard. I admit I cried a little. But it was worth the money, so I bought a second identical version. Unfortunately, this one just makes me angry. The backlights don't work half the time and it requires charging at least every two weeks. The keys are slightly noisier, but that's not a deal breaker....though one key squeaks sometimes. The Esc. key is slightly bent, so the light shines extra high in that corner and is annoying as it glares in my eye. The issues are not bad enough to justify buying a new one, especially if they can't guarantee the quality, but I'm secretly hoping this one will break and I can get something else. But I adored my first one!
