The 7x magnifying gooseneck mirror is a fabulous product. I love love love this mirror! First, the magnification is perfect. 5x is not strong enough and 10x shows your face at the molecular level. lol With 7x, you see from forehead to lips and the sides of your face. Perfect for applying makeup. You can see fine hairs for plucking or shaving with 7x. You will see things you've never seen before which can be unsettling. I would rather know. However, I know people who refuse to use one. I'm 50ish and wear progressive glasses with astigmatism. I would like to tell those who understand what that means, that I can see in perfect focus at about 6 inches from the mirror. Distance is important! Too far and it's blurry or too close as well. About 6" brings everything into perfect focus. Second, the square size is nice and big so you can almost see your whole face. Third, the fact that it's hands free makes it priceless! Fourth, the suction apparatus is more than adequate to hold the mirror for years. 5th, it's fully adjustable. The gooseneck comes in a small circle and you uncurl it. If you notice my pictures, I have it set up for a 5'3" person but you can adjust it to your liking. I bought one of these about 3 years ago and can't live with out it. I left it when I went out of town. Yes, I pack it and take it. Panicked when I got home and rushed to my Amazon app. Looked it up and it was still for sale. Got overnight delivery which was included for Prime. Now I'm ecstatic and I had to write a review. I want to recommend this mirror very highly. Mine has been attached to my mirror without falling for years. I almost forgot. It has a light. I don't use it. It's too bright for my liking and I have a lot of light in my bathroom so I don't need it. Neat feature if you like a light though. Thank you for reading my book. The quality of this product surprised me. It’s sturdy, great magnification, battery lasts a long time and it’s easy to adjust. The suction cup is strong and stays on. Great for travel and best quality for the price.

Easy to position, good magnification and strong suction cups

I was anxious to see if mirror was going to work for me for various reasons. I unpacked it and at first thought it was going to be too small, but once I checked it out and put it on my mirror it looked really cool and functional! I previously used a hand held magnifying mirror; which worked, but I needed simplicity with style. This is perfect, no more holding the mirror :)> The white matches my bath accessories. No issues with distortion like some mirror can have. Size and magnification are just what I needed.

Works as expected. Has stayed on my mirror after correct installation with no issues for many months now. The magnification is what I want. The light is weak but luckily don’t need too much.

Update: I'm updating this from 2 to 3 stars after using it for several months. Although everything I previously said was true (it won't stick on my mirror), I have adapted to using it while it lies on my dresser. The flexible gooseneck works well to position it as I wish. If you can use it this way, it's a great mirror with good magnification, shape, size, lighting. Original review: I read the reviews before purchasing and knew many people have trouble with the mirror falling down. However, enough didn't have trouble that I decided to buy it. Unfortunately, although I read all the directions carefully and looked at all the diagrams and tips, it fell down after about 15 minutes. After that I couldn't get it to stay up for more than a few seconds. I do like everything else about it, so I'm giving it 2 stars even though I can't really recommend it. The magnification is good. The size and shape are good. I like that it takes just regular batteries. I tried to use it holding it in one hand, but that didn't work well. I finally decided to lay it down on its size on my dresser and use it while sitting on the bed next to the dresser. It's not a great location for it, but it works. If they can solve the suction-cup issue, this is a great product.

The quality of the mirror is just fine. The amount of space I can see of my face in this 7x is all of it when standing within 4 or 5 inches of it approximately. It gives good clarity but if your eyes are more than the average bad, you'll need a stronger magnification. However, I still get just the right amount of magnification for applying my makeup even though my eyes are more than average bad and still enough magnification for some troublesome areas....(ladies you know what I mean). The tiny hard to see troublesome areas though (finer details) do not work for me with this mirror. I put the suction cup onto the glass dry without using water because I read where one customer's review said to do so and so I did the same and had no problem with the suction. It was easy to put on the glass and I did have to remove it from it more than once to get it in the right spot for me. It keep mine fully extended out because I did not want to damage the metal hose over time. I still think it looks attractive enough and I'm sure company may appreciate it even though they may not tell me. In the photo I have the metal arm sticking out at 13 inches and my counter top from the wall sticks out 19.25 inches. I barely feel like I have to more forward to look in the mirror since I can see my face within appproximately 4 to 5 inches from the mirror. I did not give a star rating on how I feel this mirror would be for travel since I do not travel. The batteries seem to be not draining of energy yet. I've used it about 5 times, so I think that is a good sign. I figure if the batteries drain too fast I'll get recharge batteries since I could use some anyway. So, if you are looking for a mirror with quality and like how this review fits with you, I highly recommend it.
