I was pretty concerned after reading all the 1 star reviews- they are certainly far fewer than the 5’s but still, it’s good to know what wasn’t liked.Well 5 outa 5 stars for me! Ordered it the day before needed and got it ! Among the 5 star reviews a helpful person suggested 6 tbspn to 1 box of sure jel - that was extremely useful since the directions on this product recommended way more sugar than I prefer.I took a recipe I like and used the 6-1 ratio and I have perfect jam! Can’t wait to try it on my raspberries. Thanks Medley Hills for a low cost alternative.

I love this product! The pectin works great in jams and jellies! This is my second order so it must be great! Also it saves a lot of money -a box of pectin at the local grocery store is over $4! I even use less than the recommended amount and it works great, especially for fig, blackberry and peach.

This is Pectin is a game changer! Excellent value, and a strong set. I used 2.25 ounces to 6# rough cut Apricots, skin on, peel removed, 5# sugar and 1/2 cup H2O along with 2 Tbls lemon juice, 2 tsp zest and it's the best Apricot Preserves I've ever madeAfter too many failed batches of jam using supermarket pectin I am convert toquestionable shelf life pectin available at markets. Works good once you get the ratio down. I got this to make gummies; this is not pure Pectin with Dextrose being the main ingredient so you have to compensate by adding more than what your recipe calls for. I had to adjust by adding 3x what I needed to get it to gel properly. After I figured that out it works great.

works great. love the size of the container..I am making a lot of jams and jellies right now, great value compared to buying indivdual boxes.

I had bought this before and it worked ok had to almost triple the amount that the recipe called for but it worked. I bought again to make jellies for this year 6 batches of jelly each batch got 15 TBS of pectin and they still DID NOT SET UP! Thought maybe I just wasn't cooking long enough but the last batch I had at a full boil over 15 minutes and it still didnt set!! Cheaper for more product but if I have to use the entire container in 1 batch of jelly for it to set is it really cheaper or should I just stick with sure jel!?
