Product listing describes this as the mid torque, it is not. It is the newest high torque model. I knew this in advance because I used the product number to compare the models but someone might be disappointed or surprised when they get the full monty.This thing owns every nut and bolt you throw at it. If the red/yellow/teal/strap-on/hazard freight models have more listed torque they're probably just full of it.There's a torque test review of the older models that shows it's well near the claimed torque (which was actually a bit less than this model) and if this thing makes the same percentage of that torque it's probably the most powerful gun out there. Even if it's not, it's still capable of doing anything a 1/2" impact needs.It's comfortable because of the Hitachi grip, it's powerful, it's presumably durable (looking at you Red Hong Kong homies) so the anvil cover isn't gonna snap off.It's also the only High Torque impact I know of that can run off a cord or cordless if you needed to (there's a slight power loss on the AC adapter, energy density)Great buy.

I bought this thinking that it would work with the battery and charger from my Metabo 18 volt bit driver. But it only takes the Metabo "MULTI" volt batteries. So I would have to buy another charger and battery which adds $140 to the cost of the unit. And I still wouldn't have a storage case.If I'm going to have to buy and maintain two different batteries and chargers then I have to compare the Metabo against the other brands that are just as powerful. And at this price point, there are several major name brands that are the same price and some lesser brands that are much cheaper. And all of the others offer a full set that includes a charger, battery, and storage case.It almost seems like this model was an afterthought for Metabo's marketing department.

Just to big for me to use in my field

Bought this impact eight or nine months ago. This thing takes everything off lots of power bit heavy but when you need something powerful, this is what you need would definitely buy again been very reliable.
