Sturdy, strong and spacious.
I have had this bed now for 6 months and can't fault it.Assembly took a bit longer than expected being mechanically minded (service engineer) but I did build it on my own so it was a two hour project. Make sure once built, that you have it placed exactly where you want it as moving it around with bedding and paraphernalia is impossible. The storage area is worth the cost alone which is backed up by the strength of the main frame and telescopic bed frame. The bed frame lifts with matress and bedding on it without any slipping, some effort is required to help push the frame back down but this only impressed me with how solid this bed is.I have reccomended this bed to one of my best friends and am saving for another myself as it's a no brainer.

Excellent quality at a great price
Very pleased, everything in perfect condition all parts there, very strong design and relatively easy to put together, the instructions could be a little clearer for a couple areas but overall very good. If assembling alone double the time for the job, it does take a while to get it done, but it is so worth it. The hydraulics work perfectly and the slats seem strong and well positioned. I did not bank on the headboard being somewhat wider than the main bed so miss measured for fitting one drawer unit next to it so will get an alternative. The storage space under the bed is fairly shallow but way better than a static bed where you can't so easily see underneath. Great bead very pleased.

Great Bed
I bought this bed for my son as he needed an upgrade and I must say that I am very impressed for the price. It took me and my 11 year old 2 hours to build with very little fuss (although the gas lift takes some thinking about but you just need to apply some logic) Instructions were not brilliant but if you are used to flat packed instructions they are certainly not the worst I have seen. My son loves the bed and it is very comfortable. I'm very happy with it for the reasonable price I paid

Short story - Great for the price.
Longer, more detailed story.I've put together a lot of flat packed furniture before, so I've have experience with deciphering bad instruction manuals. I've never assembled an ottoman bed before though. This manual says that it will take 2 people about one and a half hours to assemble. I think this could be done quicker if the instructions weren't so confusing when it comes to attaching the pneumatic arms and support rails. It relies mostly on bad pictures and very few words. If you've assembled an ottoman bed before, I don't think this will be an issue at all. With a bit of trial and error, I got there in the end. It took me about 6 hours though! I will say at this point that not only did I assemble this on my own, I have osteoarthritis in my lower back and mild rheumatoid arthritis in my dominant hand, so there were a lot of rest breaks. I'm pretty sure that pre-arthritis me could have put this together in an hour and a half on my own, no problem. So, now it's assembled, let's move on to the quality, etc. Each part is quite light weight, and even fully assembled it's light enough to move around by myself, but it feels solid enough. It doesn't feel rickety, and it doesn't creak or groan when I get on/off it. And I'm no light weight gal!The faux leather is really quite thin. I have cats, so I doubt that it will last long. But a have a sewing machine and a lot of fabric, so I can just make a valance for the base and a cover for the headboard. That will protect the bed and enable me to change the look/colour.Lifting the mattress to access the storage area is easy enough, it just needs a little pull and then it goes up by itself. Closing it takes more effort and is slower, but this is a security feature to reduce the risk of getting body parts trapped in places you really don't want them to be. I do have to pay attention to the headboard when I open or close the storage area, as the pneumatic arm actually rubs across it. I don't know if it's a design flaw or just something that's a little off with my bed in particular. If I don't pay attention, eventually a hole will be worn through the fabric of the headboard. There is a lot of storage in the base, but this is let down slightly by the mesh "floor". The mesh is attached to the underside of the bed by velcro. It's a little on the large side, so doesn't fit properly. The biggest issue though is that if I wanted to move my bed, I would have to empty out the storage area. If I don't, the mesh will drag across the floor and will eventually break. There is also the risk of damage to items that I have stored. Personally, I think it should have a more solid floor. The feet that are supplied are a joke. They look like a rolo on a stick. Ok, so slightly larger than a rolo, but cheap plastic on a screw. I will eventually replace them with something stronger and more aesthetically pleasing. While I'm at it, maybe I'll put in a more solid floor as well. All in all, it's not a bad bed for the price. If it lasts a couple of years, I'll be happy. With a bit of extra work I can protect the faux leather and hopefully it will last a lot longer.

Decent Side Lift Bed
Bought this bed to provide some additional storage in our spare room and so that the mattress didn't have to sit on the floor. The bed itself is quite easy to put together, although I did find that the precision on cutting for one the hinge fixtures was off by nearly a centimetre, but luckily I was able to compensate by moving the hinge on the other side, luckily this avoided the need to return the whole thing!Comfort-wise, the bed is ok - the wooden slats are curved (which is no doubt for a reason) but it does affect the comfort level of the bed. The side lift works quite well, but only opens by about half a meter.Overall a decent bed for the money.

Good buy.
Very nice bed for my daughter. Took a while to put it together on my own. Instructions were OK but a few hints would have helped. For example. Make sure arrow pointing in the right direction when fitting gas lifts. Make sure holes in side bars and central support are facing up. Gas lifts really stiff to start with. Delivered quickly and packed really well.

Perfect for a spare bed, and I am sure also as a main bed.
This is the second one of these we have bought. The first one is in a spare bedroom, had it for about 5 years and it has been amazing, no problems at all, Thats why we went for the same again. The storage looks huge but dont forget you cannot stack too high, so it can be a little deceiving, however that said, I store a load of odds and ends underneath just keep everything below the frame.

I don't like it much. Should have spent more elsewhere.
Feels fragile and creaky in places, lying back against the headboard when sitting up in bed makes you worry that something will break. Some components are inside the headboard on delivery by the way. You will need a mate to help with some of the assembly.
