Could this unit potentially be used to connect a simple 2-button TRS footswitch (such as a Hotone Ampero Switch) to a TC Electronic Plethora X5?

Hello, MPC-10 supports connecting TRS double switch pedals (for example: Sleeve is connected to the common terminal, Tip is connected to pedal 1, and Ring is connected to pedal 2). Note: When MPC-10 is connected to a switch pedal, the pedal needs to be in the open state before it can be recognized.

The TRS MIDI port appears to be a Type B ... is that correct?

Hello, yes, the current TRS MIDI of MPC-10 is Type B, and the product has a conversion cable from TRS MIDI to MIDI DIN.
