Mighty Mouse.
Let me start by saying that this is my 3rd water pump replacement on the same vehicle 04 Trailblazer ( lesson learn, don't go cheap on a water pump by OEM ). The first time I rented tools from the auto parts store and although they worked, it was a pain finding a store that had a decent set. Most of these are used and super abused, to the point that they barely work. The second time around, was a combination of buying and renting tool. This time I had the water pump holder and the wrench, but I guess they were cheaply made and were disposable, so order one of those kits that come with the holder and combo. The holder worked, but the 36mm wrench was more like 37 and made out of what felt like aluminum and could not hold it's shape, I returned it and got another set made by another company and had the same issue. After searching for a while, I came across this wrench, but because it only a few reviews I was a bit hesitant, but I thought, what do you have to loose. Let me tell, this wrench is not just a keeper, but a must for replacing the water pump. It's strong and fits perfect on the fan clutch nut. The wrench is a bit short for the job, but the end is narrow so you can use pipe as an extension, although to my surprise I didn't need to use one. I am shocked that there aren't more people using this wrench. i don't usually give out review, but had to on this great tool. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Well-finished no-nonsense 36mm wrench; thickened shoulder on both sides along entire mouth
I used this wrench to separate the fan clutch from the water pump pulley on my 2001 Mercedes ML 320, with the help of a strap wrench on the pulley. I avoided other, purpose-built tools (i.e. a bar with a hole cut in it to hold the pulley by its bolts and a stamped 36mm wrench to turn the fan clutch) because I had read that some people find those tools break instead of accomplishing the job. I had zero concern this wrench would break - it's built tougher than my arm. However, this wrench is also too thick to fit between the fan hub and the bolt heads sticking out of the water pump pulley! I solved this problem by removing two of the four water pump bolts to make room for this wrench to turn through around 45 degrees without hitting any bolt heads. Then the disassembly and reassembly went off without a hitch. This is not a "pot metal" or garbage wrench; it looks well-made. I can't speak to how hard it will work before it fails, but based on look and feel and finish I'd trust it at least as much as I trust my Craftsman wrenches.

It's more than a wrench. Its a statement that you appreciate tools.
Great wrench - good heft and feels nice. A tool I will be proud to pass on.

Heavy Duty Wrench!
Bought to remove a 1998 Mercedes E320 (M112 V6) viscous fan. I used it in conjunction with a Gearwrench universal pulley holder. The wrench has flared lip areas at the sides of the opening which make it too wide to slip between the pulley bolt heads and the fan clutch. I had to grind these areas off to allow proper fitment. There is still plenty of meat left on this stout wrench to get the job done. Didn't need a cheater bar either, nut loosened easily. Minus one star for the brief initial swearing session its unexpected girth caused, but even with this small modification it's an heirloom quality tool.

crunchy....
best tasting 10mm wrenches Ive ever eaten. Fried, sauted,or boiled, they still have a notable crunch. highly useful, and pass the salt....:)

As much a piece of art as it is an excellent wrench.
I could not believe the outstanding fit and finish on this wrench. Without sounding silly, this is the most expertly manufactured wrench I have ever had. German engineering at its very best!

Did the job
For Ford Ranger clutch fan nut torqued on like nobody’s bidness. 36mm in Autozone loaner kit too narrow and was starting to slip and strip nut. Wish spanner was longer as hard to get moment arm on nut but was thick enuff to grab nut and was able to eventually break loose taking sledge hammer to end of spanner ! Whew! $30 tewl delivered beats $154/hr shop rate (any fraction thereof) + back and forth overhead

manche trop petit
