I love these! They are perfect for my hands which are very nimble and fragile. I am left handed and the metal hooks tend to hurt my fingers after crocheting for a while, but i don’t feel any discomfort with these. The only thing i wish was different were the sizes. I wish there were less of the small sizes and more of the larger sizes. I believe the smallest size is 2.0mm and the largest is 10mm. So you do get a good size range, but i would have preferred to have sizes 4.0mm-12mm

As a lifetime crocheter, I only had one wooden hook and about 50 metal ones. But I always loved that old wooden one, so I ordered this set. It's just perfect! They tend to be a bit sticky but just for a little while, and they get smoother with use. I also like the straight line hooks, whick are hard to find in any material. The value of this set is really priceless! Get one for any crocheter you know and they will love you forever!

These bamboo crochet hooks arrived in excellent condition. They're a gift for mother's day and I know mum will love them. There easy to hold and arrived in a purple case. The purple case holds them but one of the straps is a bit loose aka not holding three of the hooks individually. However dispite this tiny thing. The strap still holds the hooks in place well. Seller was great and package arrived exactly when specified on the shipping details. Very pleased. Well worth the price.

They are not smooth and catch the yarn.Hard to use.I should have returned them.

The top hooks are the new bamboo images. I have a very intricate thread project about 1/2 completed. My hands are bothering me so I thought I would buy the bamboo hooks. I have been using a steel Susan Bates size US 7 /1.5mm hook. When I opened the KOKNIT, I noticed 2 issues on bamboo hooks. 1. The metal tip on the size 1.5mm hook appeared larger than the steel 1.5mm hook. I don't know how clear my photos are, but several people agree with me. 2. As others have mentioned, one of the bamboo handles (3.0mm) has a small splinter on the end.I have not used my new ones. I won't be using them on current projects for fear the gauge would be incorrect. However, I'm not returning them because they weren't that expensive and I may try them on new projects.

I like the zipper case that these hooks came in - it's attractive, sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. I decided to try wooden hooks to crochet a baby blanket because the metal ones were too "slippery" with the baby yarn. The tiny bit more friction created by the wooden hook holds the yarn better and is PERFECT for the project!

Positives: These hooks are very lightweight, comfortable to hold, and come in nearly all the sizes a crochet artist wants.Negatives: I had to sand the "groove" and "Iip" on five of the hooks, as the bamboo was splintered. The 10.00 mm hook head wasn't cut correctly, so one side of the head had a much deeper "mouth" than the other side. I used a metal nail file to even that out. The 2.0 mm hook is attached incorrectly to the handle, and is awkward to use, which is bad for the wrist. Another (small) issue is the hook sizes are stamped on a different part of each hook, so they don't lay nicely in the case. Finally, the 3.5 mm and 3.0 mm hooks are very thin bamboo and might easily break.Overall: I really like bamboo and the feel of these hooks in my hand. But, while these aren't the most expensive hooks in the world, I'd like to be able to use something I purchased new without having to fix it or having a hook that is unusable.
