Love the way these hook on to the MR guide lite frame.

As a novice newbie hunter but a long-time outdoorsman, I take my gear seriously. These game bags are exceptionally well-made, to the point where you hesitate to muddy them. In the past, I have purchased other bags for pheasant hunting, only to find that they were nothing more than cheap glorified pillowcases. The Mystery Ranch bags, on the other hand, are thick without being heavy. The stitching is precise, with no loose threads, and the bags close up securely. I'm looking forward to using them on my first deer hunt with via bolt-action rifle in the near future. I plan to purchase another set of bags to accommodate an entire animal.

The media could not be loaded.  For any hunter, these bags will do extremely well. Compared to what was available in the past, night and day. Compared to what is available today, on par but a step up if you have a Mystery Ranch Hunting backpack w/ the Guide Light frame. I’ll explain later.First, the material. I have game bags from another company with a great reputation for game bags and I would consider these on par with them. Light, breathable, sturdy, and washable. I have not put them to the test, but based on what I see so far, I am fairly confident these bags will perform well. The only “negative” is they are noisy, but since you won’t take them out until you need them, not a biggie.A lot of thought went into the design. If you look at the shape of the bag, it tapers towards the bottom to help keep your meat more stable for the packout. Also, there is no stretch, so your meat can’t compress to the bottom over time and make your pack unruly. There are carry straps – not sure why no one else thought of this! More and more companies are going to the reflective material in the loops, cords, and straps – another great idea that should have been done long ago. My understanding is the bag and loops have a 200+ lb capacity, but need to confirm.I need to point out something MR “fixed” with this design. If you have ever tried to carry meat out with a pack that has a meat shelf at the bottom of the pack, you know how problematic this is. A properly loaded pack NEVER has the heavy weight at the bottom, which is what low-end meat shelves do. These game bags have hang points that go over the top of the Guide Light frame when in meat shelf mode and this moves the heavy part of the quarter higher, creating an ideal pack configuration.I will point out the picture in the listing appears to show five bags. (I assume the small one is a carrier for the game bags?) That small bag doesn’t show on my box and is not included.I will say one thing else…the price. These are more expensive than some of the other game bags I would consider on par with these bags. You have to decide if they are worth it. Otherwise, I would say these feature-rich bags are worth serious consideration.

If you have any Mystery Ranch bag these are a MUST HAVE! I would argue to say that these are some of the best constructed game bags on the market as a whole. I have ran these bags in numerous variations with my Metcalf from Mystery Ranch and the bags incorporate FLAWLESSLY. The corners of the bag set right on the frame, allowing me to carry quite a heavy load and have it distributed evenly. Plus, and even distribution of weight means less ware and tear on the body as well, so these even help with that. As far as keeping meat cool and cleaning up afterwards, they are unbeatable. I put an antelope on these bags in 90 degree heat and it was cool to the touch in a very short time just sitting in the bags with a slight breeze. Lastly, run some bleach through the wash when you get back home and they are as good as new. These bags are HIGHLY recommended for anyone that uses game bags, and these will forever stay in my kit.
