Kenmore 36" Side-by-Side Refrigerator and Freezer with 25 Cubic Ft. Total Capacity, Stainless Steel

Very nice, sharp-looking unit. Everything works as it should. Relatively quiet. Freezes items very quickly. Ice maker is great. Don't care for the large LED inside towards the bottom of frig. That could been designed better. My only real complaint is that Amazon would not deliver to Lake Tahoe. Had to have it delivered elsewhere then I had to go pick it up and bring it back.

I am glad I found one of the last available on the market. I wanted to chime in on some of the complaints.First of all the grade of the stainless steel, just because it is magnetic does not make it the lowest grade on the market and people who say that do not know the facts. There are hundreds if not thousands of variations in the stainless steel family, sort of like recipes for mom's apple pie. One way to eliminate finger prints on the surface is by applying a good coat of "wax" or Polish such as Meguiar's M20532 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish.Another being the doors are hard to open. Just use your fingers and thumb on one handle and under the other, they pop right open without sliding the refrigerator across the floor. Really that simple.It is saving me close to $60 a month compared to my old refrigerator that was over 20 years old. What a bargain and it will pay for it's self in a little over a year. It's also nice having ice in the door and all the LED's lighting up our lives.I would buy another Kenmore, I hope they are still around when the time comes for a replacement..

My Dad bought this refrigerator in the stainless steel and we really like it. You can see everything so much easier than in our old fridge, and the ice maker having regular and crushed ice is nice too. The first one we got had a dent in the front so they took it right back no problems whatsoever and we received the next one 6 days later and the delivery men were terrific, they carried it in and carried out our old one in about 45 minutes with ease. Would recommend this, the only reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't come with a deli drawer and we ordered 2 from Amazon that didn't fit until they connected us with Kenmore directly. Great product, great customer service!

In terms of features and design, this is a fine, good value, product. But the one we received turns out to have had post-manufacturer repairs. It had a small water leak from the outset (which we just put up with) and, we have learned, a freon leak along with some welds that our repair person said are not from the manufacturer.I purchased this three years ago (October 2018). Within weeks we would find some water, which we presumed was from a leak in the water/ice system. As we didn't want to deal with trying to get the refrigerator replaced for a small problem we could live with, have just been mopping up every day or so since then.Now we have a freon leak (in the coils on the freezer side). The repair person said that some of the welds they saw were not from the manufacturer and that it had previously under-gone a "temporary fix."(Sorry, I did not get details of what welds specifically.)The freon leak means that both energy efficiency and temperature control get a one-star rating from me, even though those may be fine on a fully working product.I knew that buying a Kenmore appliance was a risk back in 2018, as Sears was going out of business; but I had always found Kenmore products good value and sufficiently reliable. But I thought that the risk was in terms of being able to get parts and supplies in the future. It had not occurred to me that badly refurbished products were being sold as new.I don't know what this means for purchasers today. Perhaps my experience was a one-off. Perhaps whatever dodginess there was at the time that led to bad refurbs being sold as new through Amazon was temporary. But perhaps not. It saddens me to say that I personally will not be purchasing any more Kenmore appliances.

I've only had this fridge one day and it's perfectly cold on factory setting. The water is cold (no, we're not drinking it until we dump the required gallons) and the ice maker works well. Okay, it is a little noisy when the ice dumps into the empty plastic bucket, but I expected that, but I don't think it runs noisily at all. So far so good. It matches the other Kenmore appliances and it arrived in great condition. The delivery guys were on time and polite. And I think I got it from Amazon for a good price. I will update if necessaryReview update: I've had this fridge about a week and it's running perfectly. Lots of ice, runs quiet, stays nice and cold. Love it and would buy again!

Ordered a nice new fridge on amazon and noticed the loud noise as soon as I plugged it in!!! Let the unit sit for 24 hours and nothing was cold inside. Got back on the phone with amazon customer service and within minutes had a new unit being deliver before we moved into our new home. This gave us the ability to let it cool for another 24 hours. Within 5 min you could tell it was cooling properly. Thanks for the great service provided by amazon and it affiliates!!!
