Dormer A19018 Jobber Drill Set, 1/16" - 1/2" x 1/64" Size

These drills have been good so far. I use them for drilling into stainless and mild steel. I am a bit of a roughy on items like this and they have been forgiving whilst still getting the job done. There is nothing remarkable about the drills but I would buy them again for their money. They are worth the dollars wherever they are made, in my judgement, and they should last well with an occasional sharpening.

Picture is obsolete. There is no metal box. You get two plastic boxes (see my picture). The larger size bits have an inset metal band around the shank with the millimeter size in large numerals. All the bits, except the very small ones, are laser engraved so the fonts are jaggy. It says they are from Brazil. The tips are standard chisel-point geometry and the flutes are sharpened. Sharpness is average (will shave fingernail, but not catch on it). The main advantage of this set is that it is decent quality and the only one I found under $500 that has a millimeter increment, which is necessary if you are doing reaming or other precision drill work.

Great bits but what u don’t know is that this item comes with duty tax that nobody tells u about which make this product cost double of what u can buy it off shelf for

I've been using Dormer drills at work and home for 45 years. Expensive yes, but well worth it. For tough tool steals to soft aluminum you can't go wrong with Dormer. I do recommend this product.

Actually 2 sets, 1-5.9 and 6-10, made in brazil. None of the pictures match the product. Other than that seems to be a decent set of drills. Laser engraved with drill size so it holds well in a collet chuck.

The description says plastic case but both sets I ordered came in a metal case. These bits are made in Brazil, I have other Dormer bits made in the UK but these seem very good quality. Price was unbeatable.

Great product for the price. Very high quality. Gave as a gift, recipient very happy. Seems like it would ladt a long time.

Knocking a star off for the plastic box. Some day the box will fail and make storing and sorting the bits a hassle.

After using cheap drill finally bit the bullet and bough these Dormer drills the quality shows

A good set of Imperial drills which are getting difficult to obtain but losing one star because they aren’t made in Sheffield where all good tools were made.
