I split this pack between my three kids and used them as stocking stuffers in cute Christmas gift bags. They were a huge hit! My kids are always losing pencils, and since they love to draw and need them for school, these were both fun and practical. The pencils write smoothly, come perfectly sharpened, and the erasers actually work really well. I also love all the fun colors! Great bulk buy! They’re smooth and easy to grip. The quality is sufficient and it’s been a great purchase for the classroom. They’re easy to sharpen and erase just fine. And now for a bit of fun… Pros: No batteries required. Survived a drop test from my desk. Compatible with every sheet of paper I've tried. Excellent privacy features. My grocery list has not been harvested for targeted advertising. Cons: Occasionally becomes shorter during use. Requires a separate sharpening subscription. Not waterproof unless you don't get it wet.

These pencils are the real deal, real wood soft #2 HB lead like they should be, I have ordered hundreds of pencils claiming #2 HB, but they were all hard lead that doesn't mark good on wood. These pencils are the real deal, sharpen easy on my electric pencil sharpener as well as my hand sharpener. Again, soft lead, writes smoothly with a fine line for wood working accurate lines. Video is upside Down, sorry about that. -------- One more detail, eraser on the end is soft fresh and not hard like all the others. Erases very good on wood, paper, plastic metal etc.

Bought for a school supply drive

There are enough pencils in this package to make a small log cabin if you're creative enough. Otherwise, I have noticed no discernible difference between them and other pencils of similar caliber. The main benefit here is that there's 50 of them. That's enough to supply a small office, five secretaries, or possibly supply a very small art commune. So, if you're buying this for one student you should be set. The erasers work fine, but if you overuse them you may run out of rubber before lead, however thanks to their utterly standard diameter, you can probably put a pencil top eraser on these just fine to increase their mileage. For durability, I do not recommend playing "pencil break" with these, as that's just a waste of good writing equipment and you'll have to buy more. For smoothness, I can attest that you will not get splinters, nor will they rocket out of your hand like a bar of wet soap. For appearance, they look like pencils. They do not look like trees. They are approximately yellow in color, but that has no discernible effect on their function. And as for sharpening, you shouldn't be blaming the pencils for that. If it's not sharpening right, there's something wrong with your sharpener and you should replace that instead. Five stars, no complaints.
